Don't be fooled by the low price (I paid under $20): this ChargerCity holder is a solid piece equipment that will enhance your iPad recording experience. This is an accessory stick product that acts as an extension of a stand-alone tripod. I use the Targus-brand tripod for my digital and video camera mounts, both of which came with factory-installed screw bases. iPads don't have a screw base requiring the ingenious solution of the ChargerCity holder. The iPad slides into the holder which attaches to the tripod by way of a bendable gooseneck ending in a quarter-inch screw socket. With the iPad secured in the holder, and the holder securely screwed onto your tripod, you will be able to shoot or record wobbly-free images. The value in this product is pairing it with a good tripod. Bad shocks are going to give you a rocky ride no matter how comfy the seats. A flimsy tripod (bad shocks) is going to give your iPad in its ChargerCity holder (the comfy seats) a rocky ride. With my iPad mounted in the ChargerCity holder and attached to my adjustable Targus tripod, I've shot many clear, distortion-free videos. The swivel ball joint makes positioning the holder simple while the joint ring adjusts the tension depending on how fluid you want your shot. The gooseneck detaches from the holder making it easy to store flat. The ChargerCity iPad holder is a great accessory for your recording needs. Highly recommended.

So far, so good!
Ok, I've only had this for one day but so far it's perfect. For work I need to make simple videos. Usually a simple product explanation or a testimonial from a customer. This holds my ipad perfectly and feels very solid. I mean when you click the ipad in place, you know it's in place. It screwed right in to the head of my tripod and holds steady. I did notice that if I move the tripod too quickly the ipad will rock for a minute or two after I stop moving the tripod. Or if you bump the ipad it will bounce so you need to be careful but that's not a flaw in the product.I also read that some people put their iPad in it as a stand when they want to watch something on their ipad. That sounds like a great idea that I'm going to use.The only possible negative is that the holder is not adjustable. I keep my ipad (3rd generation) in a case. I have to take it out of the case to mount here. That's really not an issue for me and I expected it, but just letting others know in case that matters to you.Oh and one more thing, I ordered on Thursday evening and got delivery Saturday afternoon on standard shipping. Can't ask for better service than that.Thank you amazon and thank you charger city!!!

First shipment had missing piece, Quickly resolved
I received my tripod mount in no time, however, when putting it together I noticed I only had 2 out of 3 of the pieces in the instructions. My shipment included the tripod mount and the cradle- which connected together, however I was missing the fastening ring that holds the two sturdy together. I wrote Amazon making them aware of the issue and was offered a full refund to return the pieces or 30% refund to keep the pieces. I ended up returning what I had, just printed out a label from my Amazon account and they covered the costs. I re-ordered the complete mount once again, and received it two days later, complete with all 3 pieces.

Doesn't fit tight
Received the mount today. I ordered it for my daughters Hawaiian wedding that will be outdoors. It doesn't fit tight to the iPad. I will probably figure out a way to jerryrig it so I don't have to worry about popping out. I think it will be okay, but not in an area where it could get bumped. I have an IPad 4. I don't know if it works on the 2 or 3.

Tripod monopod recording camera
I like it because now I'm able to shoot video without much movement or shaking. The only thing that concern me is that the top clip sits at the very edge of the iPad where the aluminum and glass meets. I jerked it a few times and it holds fast but I do wish it clipped over the glass a little bit more.

It's ok but a bit heavy. Good device but stupid design
Your tripod should be strong enough to support the iPad and the mount. They added up heavy weight. Also, the mount clip will damage my screen protector easily. Difficult to find occasion to use it but good to keep one just in case I need it because my iPad can take good quality picture...

Okay device
It is a basic, plastic holder for an iPad. The way this swivels it does not hold vertical well. When I use it with my tripod, the tripod has to be at full length or the weight of the iPad will cause it to fall over. Not the best design.

This thing works but is imposes a risk op tipping.
I bought this to use with my 9.7 in. iPad 2. It holds my iPad well but seems very top-heavy. I am enclosing (if I can) a picture* showing the extreme bend that I had to make in the adapter post to bring the iPad close to the tripod's center of gravity. I hope it doesn't break! Contrary to another review, I feel that it is much safer for table-top use than it is with legs extended.* I see that someone else submitted a picture that shows this pretty well.
