Theory and Practice of Family Therapy and Counseling

I LOVE the content of the book. Amazing insight for my profession. However, my review is based on the construction of the product. I have had this book for a couple of weeks and all of the binding has come apart. The pages have fallen out on chunks. Very disappointing for a text that I’ll be referring to in the future.

I rented this book for one of my counseling classes. Though it is a textbook, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the chapters. Bitter composed and edited this book very well and in a way that makes it readable. His knowledge of multiple theories is obvious and his application for families is great. I may end up purchasing this one.

The box arrived after the time, around 3 horas, and he box arrived a small open part.

This book covers a variety of couples and family counseling theories. I like how the authors used the Quest family in each chapter to illustrate how the theories would apply to real practice. They also break down the theories and techniques for the beginning student to understand.

This book was exactly as described. I only gave it 4 stars because I had to order it against my will. You know...school-related...

Needed this book for school. International version and works just great. Would highly recommend International versions for coursework.

A very clearly written account of the current and past practice of family therapy. Recommended for people learning anew about family therapy as well as experienced practitioners who are interested in an updated summary of the field today.

I only have one course in family and couples therapy, but the book opened my mind and offered understanding into techniques and interpretation of the larger social life of an individual..
