Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen Stick SPF 50, 1.5 oz

This is our go-to sunscreen and my family has not used any other brand since discovering it about 5 or 6 years ago. The scent is pleasant, light, and tropical. Application is quick and easy. It goes on clear (not white) and looks a little greasy at first, but that is actually a positive because it helps you quickly see spots you (or your child) missed. It soon absorbs cleanly and the oily feeling goes away after a few minutes. The sunscreen works really well. My family has very pale, sensitive skin with eczema and easily burns in the sun. It does not irritate our skin at all and provides great coverage. This stuff works very well for us on vacation in Florida and on Bahamas/Caribbean cruises. It fits easily in a small bag and doesn't take up much room. With it being a solid, there's no worry of leaking. I love that you can hand everyone a stick and they can do most of the application themselves. Then we turn around and get the hard to reach spots on each other. And all done with clean hands that aren't getting messy. I would be so sad if this sunscreen is ever discontinued. We have over a dozen sticks in our house/car/luggage at any given time.

Bought for traveling and walking around in the Nashville sun and I am so impressed! I did not get sunburnt and I am whiter than a ghost. It was easy to keep in my purse and reapply throughout the day. Even sweating and being sticky it stayed on. It also smells nice! I will be keeping this with me all summer.

What I like about this product is that it goes on easy. You don’t have to wash your hands afterwards because you have suntan lotion all over them. I like to use this on my face because I’ve never had it drip into my eyes when I sweat where the other lotions end up stinging your eyes. It’s easy to apply on the grandkids too and my 2 year old thinks he is so cool cause he can hold it and put it on himself. Of course I have to add more after he is done but he is so happy he can put his own lotion on. It travels well and doesn’t have any smell to it.

The stick format is genuinely the biggest selling point. There's no lotion to rub in with your hands, no spray to inhale or waste in the wind, and no mess in your bag. For faces, ears, the back of the neck, and other small or awkward spots, it's fast and precise. You can reapply in seconds even with sandy or wet hands, which is exactly when a pump bottle becomes a hassle. The SPF 50 broad-spectrum protection has held up in practice; I haven't had burns even during long midday exposure, and it's rated water-resistant up to 80 minutes. It’s also extremely light weight on my face.

I keep buying this every summer for its ease of application! I’ve gotten others hooked on it too. It’s a little greasy but super effective, so worth it!

This is such a good sunscreen! I used it on my trip to Disney world and it came in handy so many times. I used it for both my face and shoulders. It was a little greasy but I rubbed it in with my fingers and it got better. I didn’t burn at all!

The best thing is the ease of application. It smells good and works well. Great for travel, not so messy.

Works like a charm, really great that it doesn't count against liquid allowance when traveling. Just remember to rub in... I didn't and 4 months later I still have these pale streaks on my shins where I applied. I burnt everywhere else and those spots stayed ultra pale. (hilarious now, not when it happened!!) Would love a 30 version of this!
