Are they accurate?
In the process of moving into a different home,wasn't sure about the water,as the former owners left 2 containers of hard water boosters in the laundry room.I decided to test it myself.These strips are so easy to use.Got results instantly.Mine tested in the medium range.Curious about the reliability of the strips,I did the alternate test with castle soap.Got same results,so these are very reliable!

Range limited
These test strips are fine and would have received five starts except for two issues. The color scale is numerically identified with ppm (parts per million) and not gpg ( grain per gallon). My water softener needs gpg for regeneration settings. Yes I found the conversion factor and got the answer I needed. The second problem is that I need a test strip with capacity to measure very hard well water. I ended up getting the water tested at a water softener store. My water tested 35 gpg or 600 ppm.

Close enough
Lots of strips...I just use them to make sure the water softer is working right. The other day the water seemed to be harder so I used the strip and golly geez I was right. Found out the softener had a bad connection to the brine tank. These will give you confirmation that your water is really conditioned. My raw water is at the top of the scale, conditioned at the bottom. Satisfied!!

Performs as I hoped.
We had a new water softener. In a new to us house. Plumber could not get it to operate because you really do need to read the entire instruction book at least twice to program it. The only way for me to tell if it was up and working was to keep testing the water.

Seem to work well
I use these for my hot tub. We have very soft well water.. These strips work well and give us a good indication of when we need to add calcium to our hot tub..

Seems accurate
Compared results with a local water softener company. The strips had the same results. Great for a quick check.
