Sirius SADV2 Universal Dock-and-Play Vehicle Kit with PowerConnect (Black)

Over the past 5 years, I have purchased 3 of these mounts. 1 in the Boat, 1 in a Truck, and this one. Sure beats having to pay Sirius for extra accounts. Just move the tuner from one vehicle to another. The antenna is very good, and the dock comes with enough options to fit every application. This dock I installed in our 2012 CAN-AM Spyder. I mounted in the rear trunk and used the Aux plug provided by CAN-AM, and 12 volt supplied with this dock. Did not want to have dock out in the elements as it is not water proof. We usually listen to Coffee House on Sirius, so just set to this channel and will decide what channel to listen to before taking off.

The product is great...however be careful! I have a Sportster 3 and unlike the Amazon description says it is compatable with "all" plug and play Sirius receivers.It is does not fit a Sportster 3 Sirius receiver. I had to do some "modifications" to get this to work. Overall as far as the shipping and transaction goes..nothing but the best as I have come to expect from Amazon. If I wasn't as savy with electronics as I am I would have been returning this product because of the misleading description for this product. However, after the "modification" I had to make to the product the ease of instalation and the sound quality are nothing but the best. A true plug and play. Just be careful if you have an older Sirius receiver.

I ordered this kit to move an XM receiver from an older vehicle to a new one. Everything was included in the kit including the audio cable and power cable. Usually with other kits there's always something not included but not this one. Very happy with this kit, it was the easiest install I ever did. Highly recommended.

When I purchased this dock for my second vehicle I wasn't sure if I could install it myself or if it would require a professional. But, I thought I should try it myself before going to the expense of taking it to a shop. Well, I am glad I did. I literally had the unit working in my vehicle in 5 minutes. Of course I still had to decide on the best placement for the tuner to be mounted and hide all the wires but start-to-finish was easily less than 2 hours. I installed the unit in my '95 Jeep Wrangler. The magnetic antenna stuck to my roll bar and the signal penetrates the fiber glass hard top without any problem. So, the antenna is concealed nicely inside the cabin with the wire hidden inside the roll bar padding. The rest of the wires are all under the carpet and secured neatly under the dash. My box didn't include any directions which I thought was strange at first. But, everything is identified and is literally plug and play. Just plug the antenna connector into the dock in the jack marked "ant", power cable to the power jack and 12v receptacle. I used the "aux in" jack on my radio. Easy Peasy.

I bought a newer RV and wanted to take my Sirius Dock and play unit on the road with me. The whole system is pretty old (I think I bought the primary unit about 9 years ago!), but I have two docks in other vehicles so I wanted to keep the ball rolling. Was able to buy the car kit for a fair price and it has all you need to install. I ran the antenna down from the roof and then asked the radio shop to hook it up for me....I didn't mind pulling the radio, but I needed them to figure out how to plug it into the radio and where to install the dock so it looked professional. They did a great job in about two hours. It works great and I know have "The Highway" anywhere I take the RV on the road....and I don't have to pay an extra subscription to Sirius..I just take the unit from home and plug it in.

Do not buy from this seller! they advertise their product as a universal Dock -and-play. however in reality it is ONLY compatible with a Stratus 6 radio unit. It took so long to be delivered then had parts missing. I contacted Sirius and they sent me an installation card by the time this arrived and I tried to fit it to my car we realized that it was not compatible. That process took over 30 days now Ocean Reef Electronic will not accept a return!

I needed to replace the unit I had because the wire to the antenna weathered. When I set everything back up I realized that power supply was poorly build compared to the old one I had. On top of that the metal prong on the power supply was not long enough and would not make contact, thus not powering up the unit. I only figured this out after I took apart the cigarette lighter in my car. I had to file the tip and put a little solder on it just so it would contact. I have no problems with the rest of the unit, and maybe for me it was just a fluke. Just keep in mind that the power supply is cheaply built.

Wanted another dock for my wifes car so we can swap back and forth with receiver. Went in well but the power cord is a bit short. They should extend it by a few more feet.

Does not fit the older Sirius units. I had to do some modification to make it fit but then everything was fine.

Easy to set upand install. This was purchased to give us a second vehicle to listen to our satellite radio in. Whole process was so simple.
