Great tool!
Does just what it's supposed to do and does it well. It's small, light and easy to move around, two features that are essential to efficient siding jobs. Cement siding is heavy and fragile. We leave it on the ground and carry the PacTool Shear to where we want to make the cut. My crew loved it so much they made me by another one!

Good tool
works good, had a little problem with it at first but manufacturer was great with helping to resolve that. You still need a good bit of "elbow grease" to operate this tool, no fault of the manufacturer, its just the nature of the tool and product. We use it to do straight cuts on 8 1/4" Hardi Plank, beats a saw or electric nibblers anyday

Chop chop!
Clean quiet cuts. Works even better when the ads is lubricated with WD-40.

Nice clean cuts if done right
Nice clean cuts if done right. NO DUST!Worked great for straight cutsadjustable guard could be more rigid to ensure right angle cuts and perhaps pivot to help with angle cuts

Works as expected
I sent this tool out to our crew. They reported back that it is the best tool for the simple task of cutting a straight cut on lap siding. I like the fact that it is nearly dust free and will last longer than the expensive saw blades. We still use the saw blades for the other cutting.

Best tool for plank siding hands down
Best tool for plank siding hands down. We yanked off the rubber grip and put a 3/4 inch pipe over the handle. Shoved some rebar to increase the strength and length. Takes a lot less effort to cut the board. Best $200 dollars I ever spent for a tool. No dust!!!
