Great for newborns, as it snuggles them with its hammock design. However, baby outgrew it by 3 months. Lifesaver for those first few months though. Fits nicely in the halo bassinet. See picture for size comparisons. Baby is 7 months in the picture.

I know the FDA recommended against all of these but I’m more likely to kill my child from sleep deprivation. Colicky baby couldn’t sleep except upright on people and arched. Then she became ok sleeping with me in bed with her head propped on my arm. I felt unsafe so I got this and it’s been fantastic. Not only for nighttime sleep but toting it around for naps. I can put the baby in it on the couch next to me while she naps and I work. Easier to take to sleepovers than a crib. Just know that it should be used on a bed or soft ground because the hammock tech is not padded enough if you were to put the baby directly on the floor. Thank you!!! Thank you for the clean organic fabrics! I want a big one for myself to sleep in. It looks so cozy.

I was super resistant to buying this or the Dock-a-Tot because, let's be real, it's basically an expensive pillow. However, after one too many sleepless nights with my newborn, I bought this as a blurry-eyed 3am purchase. I had almost forgotten I'd bought it until it showed up on my doorstep. But IT IS THE BEST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE. Since we bought it, when our baby was about 4 weeks old, he's slept through the night, occasionally waking up once to eat. Now, at two months old, he sleeps anywhere from 8-10 hours a stretch. It's amazing. I don't know if this pillow is the reason why - maybe he's just a good sleeper? - but I wouldn't put him to bed without it. Totally worth it.

Let's first talk about the quality of this product: it's as described. The one I received met the quality expectation, it was soft (not too soft) and snuggly and frankly I wished I could crawl up on it. Size is great for a newborn, quality is there, and love that it's organic (maybe this is a marketing plot/ploy but I am a willing participant so hush). So for all these reasons it's definitely at least 4 stars.Now let's talk about reality. Reality is not all babies love comfy, organic, cozy, expensive pillows. Mine was one of those said babies. She literally spent a max total of approx. 10 minutes in this. Oh but not all at once, it was over a course of multiple tries. So when I do a cost analysis, for $14 per minute, my sweet little baby enjoyed the comfort of this luxury pillow (yes a $140 pillow is a luxury to this family- dear lawd if you are buying $140 pillows for all your family members, why are you even reading this review? I digress). My sweet baby (and she is a sweetie, nicer than parents and siblings combined) fought every moment spent in this pillow. I won't give this product less stars just because it didn't work for us, it is a good quality product. My baby just doesn't appreciate expensive things (takes after her dad's side).

Update: I still place my 6 month old in this for naps! Since he has an instinct to toss and turn now at this age, I found that he does not sleep super long in it. Also, the Snuggle me was INVALUABLE during our two 3,000 mile road trips, lasting a span of 4 days each. The first road trip my infant was 2months old, and the second, 5 months old. I used it for diaper changes during rest stops in the car, and for hotel sleeping! I am very glad I got to use the case it came in to carry it (and his Puj tub) to the hotel rooms. Lastly, I cannot rave enough about how great the Snuggle Me is for infant PHOTOS. I used it for every month-to-month photo so far, each time with a different receiving blanket laid over it for variety. Photos turn out great :). I added a photo of him at 5months old in the Snuggle Me, about to get a diaper change on the center console in the car during the road trip.---------------------------------------A few tips: Buy the non-organic Snuggle Me Original cushion on their website for LOADS cheaper, and works just as well! Secondly, I LOVE the ivory cushion cover, but cute receiving blankets are the perfect size to simply lay over the cushion if you want a different look. Thirdly, I chose this over the Rock N Play in fear of my son developing a flat head because of its elevation. Snuggle Me allows rotation of the head to avoid flat head development. You can also lay baby in the "propped" position in the Snuggle Me if needed. One last tip: it's great for infant photos! Keeps baby calm & looks great!My son lives in this cushion--napping, couch lounging, cosleeping! It arrived when he was 3 weeks old, and now he is 6 weeks old and I cannot rave enough about it. I use the Snuggle Me for co-sleeping in our room in his bassinet next to my bedside. It fits perfectly into the bassinet. At this point he sleeps 3 hours overnight in the bassinet, and recently did 5 1/2 hours for the first time. I like having him fall asleep in my arms after breastfeeding, and once he is asleep I transfer him into the Snuggle Me without him waking up or startling. His daytime naps only last 20mins to 1hr, but what I love is that during the daytime, I know that I have a SAFE place to set him down if I need free hands, and that is absolutely invaluable.Concerns: Size. At 3wks old my son's feet are at the edge. I hope it is still as effective at 5months old. It is intended for 0-6months, but they custom make bigger ones upon request.Breathability. The fabric covers are soft, but baby can work up a sweat in the right conditions.Now that you are an informed consumer and smart shopper, honestly just buy it now! It's worth it. You need it.

The BEST baby product that there is. We couldn’t live with out this!! The cushioning on the side makes him feel like he is being held, without it being high enough to worry about suffocation. There is no chance of him rolling over in it either. I did a lot of research before purchasing this and debated between this and the dockatot but I am so glad that I purchased this one. For so many reasons the dockatot doesn’t even compare to this amazing lounger. We now have three. Yes, THREE! That’s howMuch we love it. We have one on each floor for easy naps as he loves it so much. I don’t know how I survived my first child without it! Also, their customer service is top notch. I reached out to the company with a few questions before purchasing and the owner responded extremely quickly and was very helpful!! It is also extremely easy to clean. Just throw the whole thing in the wash and tumble dry on cool/low!
