We sell only in the 49 states where a single uniform cost applies in all locations. **Q: I just bought the long term alpha track radon detector kit by rss Does it need to be place 4 feet high? can it be moved while testing for the year?** A: If I remember correctly, the detector should be placed at a minimum of 4 feet high. I placed my detector on a desk that was a little higher then that. I would not move it myself. I would keep it in the original spot it was placed in to finish the test but I don't know If you can or cannot. They have a phone number, you should call it for the correct answers to your questions to be sure and to be accurate. **Q: Hello, is there a lab fee to get reading results from this particular test kit?** A: There are no additional fees. The analysis and results are included in the cost of the test kit. **Q: Should this be placed in my basement or on the first floor of my home?** A: Another manufacturer indicated that there should be one tester per 2000 square feet, PLUS one in the basement. If this product only has one detector included, I would buy one for the basement, and buy an additional one for whichever room you spend the most time in on the first floor, such as a bedroom (sleeping) or home office. The reason I say first floor is because radon generally seeps in from soil. We followed every instruction to the letter and sent this back in the box we were supposed to. It has been well over a month now and there have been no results. This was an absolute waste of money and more importantly a waste of time. If you need a long term radon test; I recommend you look elsewhere.If by some chance results do come in; I will update this review and my rating.UPDATE 9-25-2020: We received an email and a phone call today from this company. They emailed us our results. It appears a prior email may have been blocked for some reason. I didn’t see it in our spam folder either so it’s hard to know what happened. Anyway, because they reached out and gave us our results I have updated our rating. The product did what it was supposed to, was a good value as far as costs went and the company MADE SURE we got the results.
