Bee Paper 24" x 50 yds Sketch and Trace Roll, White

What you're seeing in the picture I uploaded is a pattern drafted in pencil on Bee paper with a another sheet of Bee paper over it. As you can see, it's very transparent which makes it easy to transfer patterns (1) from one iteration to the next or (2) from oaktag to pattern paper or (3) from commercial patterns to this pattern paper. It's not that thin and doesn't tear easily but it's very transparent. I use a mechanical pencil than sometimes runs out of lead when I'm in the middle of drawing a line but even the empty metal point of my mechanical pencil doesn't tear it. Neither does erasing it with either my pencil eraser or my electric eraser (which has torn its share of lesser papers). It's a white paper than would look white on a white background but because it's so transparent it takes on the color of whatever it's laying on. It is a crisp paper. For sewers this could be a down side. Tissue-fitting might be difficult with this paper because it's so crisp that it doesn't drape on the body. If you're looking for paper you can tissue-fit with, try Swedish Tracing Paper. It has an almost cloth-like feel. But it is pricier per foot. Be like me and buy both! Save the more expensive Swedish paper for tissue-fitting only and use this for everything else. If you're not tissue-fitting, I think you will like the crispness as much as I do. It's a pleasure to trace and draft with. Highly recommended for all sewing, tailoring and pattern-making applications except tissue-fitting.

I am a avid sewer , I have found that it is better to trace different sizes in clothes patterns so as not to destroy original pattern. It also gives access to more sizes than just what might fit so that if you are off in your size you can make a different size. Works great, easy to see through and holds up well when cutting out pattern.

I've used this paper for many years for tracing PDF sewing patterns. It works better than medical exam paper because lead pencil lines can be erased cleanly, although colored pencil marks are more difficult to erase. The paper is very sturdy and not flimsy like pattern tissue paper. It's more like vellum. It can stand up to numerous erasures and uses. The width is wider than medical paper. I highly recommend this product.

I looked at a dozen different options for tracing patterns and settled on this paper - and it is EXCELLENT for tracing. I'm a newby to sewing, so I trace a lot so I don't ruin my pattern with my cutting errors. This works fabulously. I put the pattern under the paper on my lightbox - and it's perfect. I like the weight of the paper and I like the translucence.

This is perfect for tracing patterns and making alterations. However, I’m about 1/4 to half way through the roll already just after making two pattern adjustments for a pair of pants. (This review is for the 20 yard roll) This isn’t going to last more than four or five garments at this rate. The nice thing is hat this is thin and flexible enough that it is possible to do some tissue fitting with it, though it’s not quite as thin and flexible as the original pattern paper from the manufacturer. Altogether, it does what I need it to do. However at this price, it will be pretty expensive if I can only use it for five garments. I’ll update again after I see how long it lasts.

I have started using this to trace my projector patterns that I make adjustments to and use often so I don’t have to make the adjustments every time. I now have a paper pattern with the adjustments already made. It has been very helpful. The thickness is perfect, it is thick enough to not tear super easily, but thin enough that you can see through it if you are tracing over something.

Like the other reviewer said, it's second to none for making patterns from PDF's. I also use for tracing "store bought" patterns so I never have to cut the original up. I make all my daughters career clothes and her weight can fluctuate so not cutting up an original pricey pattern is very helpful since they are incredibly thin paper. I've used this brand for many years and patterns that are years old still hold up to ironing perfectly. I fold and store my patterns in large manilla envelopes with my notes written on them, and my notes and marks will still be crisp and easy to read. This is the only brand I'll use :)

This worked great to trace a jacket pattern. Definitely recommend this paper.

I was looking for a product to trace a sewing pattern. This works well only I was looking for something that wouldn't tear too easy. This product is stronger than medical paper. Rolled over it with my moveable sewing table and the paper didn't tear. Great product.

Excellent paper for tracing sewing patterns - I hate cutting into patterns because my weight and size can fluctuate and I often like reusing patterns for multiple projects. This paper made it so much easier to just trace a pattern in the proper size, make adjustments, and go...and there's so much paper on the roll! It'll last a long time...but when it runs out I will definitely buy it again!

The paper is fine, feels a lot like the matte side of baking paper but does as expected. It shipped (allegedly) on 14 March and didn’t arrive until the 25 May, which is just wild.
