Best Wireless Charger
I don't usually write reviews but felt this warranted one. Firstly, it is annoying that the reviews are for both the car charger and the house charger. This makes it difficult for someone who is trying to gain perspective on a single product considering the features would be quite different for a car mount/charger vs something that plugs in a wall and sits on a desk.So to be clear, this is to review the car charger. I did a lot of research and even purchased another product that I ended up taking back. I like this one for the following reasons:Mechanical Mount - Although the ones with the infared sensors are cool, I worry that is just something that can break and it is annoying when they keep opening and closing on their own when the car is not in it. I like straight mechanical because it is easy, more reliable and less annoying.Bottom Adjustable Support - Not only does this make it easier to mount the phone, but it also helps position the phone so that it charges (in line with the coils). The other one I purchased had no bottom support which means you had to luckily get it mounted in the exact spot for it to charge. This also makes it easy to mount because if your mount is slightly reclined, you can just place the phone on the bottom support with one hand and then close with the same hand.Charging - It actually charges much better than I expected. I have an s7 and on a 3-4 minute drive it went from 3% to 7%. I am guessing around 50 seconds per percent which is exactly what I tested my house chargers at. It will not charge as quick as the "fast chargers" that you plug in, but it does seem to be comparable to a normal plug in charger which is much better than what I saw on the other wireless charger I purchased. BTW, this is also with the otterbox defender case on it.Mount Arms - The mount arms are bigger than many others that I have seen. The last one I purchased barely gripped my phone with the otterbox definder case on it. This one grips it very well.Adjustments - The adjustments and particularly the extender arm is really nice. This allowed to bring it closer to the driver for easier operation while it is mounted.Questions I had that were not answered:Does it charge with otterbox defender case? Most definitely.Does it have infared auto clamps? No, but I prefer not to have thatAre the clamps large enough to support the s7 with otterbox definder case? Most definitely. The only slightly negative thing I will say is it does bounce a little when driving and when pressing buttons on the phone while mounted, but with the arm fully extended that is somewhat expected. At this price point along with all of the other positives, this is not enough for me to reduce my rating.

I purchased the older version of this back in November and had to by this one to replace it. I started driving for Uber and needed something to hold my phone up while the navigation is on. Besides that, I like to play music whenever I'm in the car and it keeps my phone in a place where it is visible, but not distracting. I do not use (stick) the mount on dashboard to keep it steady. I bend the arm to sit on the dashboard and it works great. It fits my Galaxy Note 8 perfectly with no issues.

3-1/2 MONTH SERVICE LIFE - UPDATED
After looking at several variations of phone holders, this appeared to be the ticket and for awhile it was. I installed it on the lower left corner of the windshield and the gooseneck placed the phone low and just over the dash. I used the clip to stabilize it. This was a very handy placement and the phone didn't effect my view, vents, or controls. It was a 5 star item...until yesterday when the suction cup assembly broke and it fell off as I was getting out of the car and landed my phone on the driveway. Fortunately, I had a great case and screen protector so the phone was good. The suction cup has a rubber part under the hard plastic cover of the assembly, which has a lever that sucks it down in order to stick. The plastic dogs that hold the rubber in the housing failed and the spring pushed the whole thing apart.I don't want to glue the thing to the windshield, but that may be necessary if I want to use the holder. It wasn't expensive, but still disappointed, shouldn't have failed in my opinion as there is minimum stress with the clip and arm of the holder taking nearly all the load.UPDATE: After the above review, the seller/manufacturer wrote to me offering their regrets and a different model replacement, which I accepted. I've been using the replacement (ASIN B074N46WYP) for about a month now. The arm length isn't as long and it took some fiddling, including turning the arched arm over, to get the position I wanted with the suction cup on the windshield and the mount low on the dash near the edge. I prefer not having things in my eye line (handicapped placards anyone?) and this doesn't block anything except my hood. I set it up so the phone holder rests on the dash, which reduces the vibration on the suction cup quite a bit. That vibration is what broke the last one at the suction cup. So far, so good. It's a better piece of equipment and the customer service is what everyone should be like. I would go with 5 stars on that basis, but the mount needs more time to be properly evaluated.

Review edited. Customer service and getting a replacement that worked made this a winner
The charger was easy to set up. Appears to be well made. Durability? Who knows. Brand new. Holds the XS iphone well, with and without a case. However, it will not charge wirelessly with the case -unlike my wireless charger in the house. If the indoor charger didn’t charge with the case, I’d look at it differently. Defeats the purpose of having a wireless charger in the car. I have to plug the phone in to charge or take out of the case. Neither of which is an option I want.Edit: Customer service is excellent. I requested, they offered to refund money. I don’t do many returns and it works as a decent holder. They then offered a new one. I received it but have not installed to test. Once I do will update. Rating remains the same until the charger is tested. If I could give extra stars for customer service I would Hopefully this one will work and I can upgrade my review.Edit update. Finally had time to install the replacement charger. Easy to remove the other one. Clean up easy - used alcohol in case of sticky residue. Installed easily. This one worked immediately wirelessly with the case on. Nuts tighten down easier and appear to hold. Haven’t taken on long drive yet. But seems better. With customer service that addressed the issues immediately and the second product working as advertised I have upgraded my review from 3 stars to 5.
