Truths and Roses First love. A second chance. Secrets with the power to change lives. When Will Kincaidโs professional football career comes to an abrupt end in a single night, heโs left to figure out what heโs going to do with the rest of his life. He heads home to the small Virginia town where he grew up and crosses paths with Hannah Jacobs, the only girl in high school who had ever rejected him. Itโs Hannah who once made him question the choices he had made, and itโs Hannah whoโs making him question them all over again. But with the weight of a secret heโs managed to hide from the world his entire adult life hanging over him, he canโt afford to question his choices. Hannah Jacobs had once made the choice to deny her feelings for Will Kincaid, at the time finding it the only possible option for a young girl intent on burying a nightmare she only wanted to forget. The life sheโs made for herself as a librarian in Lake Perdue is a quiet one, and sheโs hardly prepared for the day when Will rams his fancy Ferrari into her dependable old clunker. But for Hannah, Will Kincaid can only stir up memories she had long ago put away forever. And thereโs nothing at all good that can come from bringing them back to life again. ********** Readers on Inglath Cooper: โOne of the very best books Iโve ever read! Pg is good for most readers!
I really like that the book has so much passion but so little "get embarassed if someone walks in while you are reading it" sex scenes. It is true to the fact that life is not easy. As I was once told. God did not promise me a smooth trip, just a safe landing" Life can be tough and sometimes taking care of someone else, helps you take care of yourself, as long as you don't neglect yourself. It seems That Hannah should maybe stop being so harsh and look at the good in herself and others before she tries to love someone else. Loving herself would have been nice, but then what good would that be in a book if you want to get involved in the story, without knowing all that will happpen before it does.it has enough ups and downs and was an easy (inexpensive) read and I would recommend others read it as well. Will was likeable and someone I think we would all like to know and Hannah did redeem herself so good book, good ending. Well Done.

A slow burning toe curling wonderful romance
I adored this book. Will Kincaid, American sports star with a busted knee comes back to his small country hometown with a secret to keep and an urge to lick his wounds, and try to unpick his future plans from the jumble in his brain.Hannah Jacobs, wallflower librarian and local girl meets Kincaid as they have a minor car accident, but they have already met, over ten years ago in high school. But what happened? And why did she date Tom, the now local Sheriff and break Will's heart, but then never date again? This book is stupendous, beautiful and engaging from the off. You can see the two protagonists are made for each other as the reader, the whole town can, but they dance around each other, their baggage, pride and fear keeping them apart till the very end. Add to this - secrets, family issues and a big old punch-up and you have yourself a corking book that would easily make a blockbusting film. I for one would go watch it, and buy the DVD, and make all my friends watch it. This book is what romance should be, entwined with real feelings, real life and roses blooming. Hats off to the author, best book I have read in a while. This book is available now on Kindle from Amazon for ยฃ1.49. Bargain!I WAS GIVEN A COPY OF THIS BOOK TO REVIEW. MY OPINIONS AND RATINGS ARE MY OWN AND I DO NOT KNOW THE AUTHOR OR ANYONE CONNECTED.

Truth and Roses review
I have loved reading every since I was a small child in school. I remember so many of the books back then had a moral to the story and this book reminds me so much of those. In this case it is that we must not judge people because we never really know what their life might really be like, the things we keep secret because we are ashamed of that within ourselves. This deals with two important issues that affects so many people these days and it can be a healing process to realize that we are not alone even when you might feel like you are the only one that it has ever happened to.The story also brings together a relationship in hight school that never got the chance it deserved to a time in the future where they meet again. Sometimes the first loves can endure and be the strongest. It is a very innocent and pure love story. It is written in such a way that it is like meeting someone new and getting to know them. I recommend this book to everyone for a very good "read", and an opportunity to reflect on life and to once again reinforce that we must treat everyone with kindness and realize that we all have our struggles in life regardless of what it seems that the other person might have going for them.

Romance on a Real Level
I rarely read romance novel but took a chance with this book and glad I did. It is much more than a romance novel, it's a story of life, an attraction between two young people who have their own dark past secrets. The author is a lovely writer with strong descriptions of place, time and characters. The reader doesn't become overly involved in too many lives and the author keeps the focus on the two main characters, NFL football player, Will Kincaid and Hannah Jacobs who is a librarian living in Lake Perdue, their hometown. Will returns home after an accident while playing at the Super Bowl (and that ends his successful career.)He and Hannah had a romantic attraction ten years previously while in high school. It never did bloom. The attraction, although Hannah denies it to him and herself, is still alive between them. The antagonist is Tom, once Will's best friend and a guy Hannah went out with in high school instead of Will. There is the pebble in the shoe, so to speak. Will is lost with what to do next and in his search he wants to renew his interest in Hannah who deflects his advances at every turn. What is she hiding from? This guy is great, handsome, wealthy and truly a nice guy. Hannah lives alone and says she is very happy with her dull life style.Hannah's personality was difficult to take most of the book. It bordered on self-pity and self-loathing to the point of, come on Hannah, this guy is great why are you messing it up?Both have a dark secret and this is at the root of the problem, at least for Hannah. She helps Will find his - and he's so open much more than she is, for help. I just wanted to grab her at times and shake her awake out of her stubborn, poor me, I've got an ugly secret. There is romance - for those who want a bit of hot passion read - but it's contained and tastefully presented while remaining "hot", certainly different from a recent best seller I found ridiculous in its "hot scenes."Toward the end I often felt I was being taught, more of a self-help book than a novel. It is a bit preachy with the wrongs of others toward the problems these two young adults face. There are times it didn't feel like a true happening but more Hollywood style resolution. Still all in all, well-written and likeable characters, interesting story with kisses and sex and the author is very talented in story-telling.

The truth is...
3 Stars because I "liked it" but wasn't in love with it. The book was on an Amazon recommendation list and only cost 99 cents for my Kindle. Oh and it's PG, not a typical romance with "throw me down" love scenes. I really liked that it was PG.Overall, the writing is excellent and the book was edited well. The flow of the book is steady and though the perspective changes between Will and Hannah pretty consistently, it's easy to follow and in tune with the rhythm of the story. It's tough because it's not that I didn't like the storyline it's just that it was so... ordinary. Ordinary makes it easy to read and easy to relate to but also makes it forgettable. I was waiting for a big explosion but it never came.Honestly, this book does have the power to do good in someone's life if you've had the same challenges. The moral of the story comes down to following your heart, opening up on your life struggles, and having the strength to overcome those struggles. If you do those things, it will lead to your own happily ever after.

Kept me reading
Frost Love Lost Love FoundFrost The Lost OnesFrost First Love Last LoveI happened upon this book by accident, I would have to call it a happy accident. The book has a lot going for it in the depth of the characters to the multiple issues it confronts. So many of the things I read in this book are things that are close to my heart. The love of books that Hannah has. The issues she has to face having someone she loves with Alzheimer's to other issues of not feeling "good enough". Will was a lovable heartwarming character who loves the way most of us want our men to love, with all his honest, and faithful heart, for ever and ever, amen. The character in this book show that everyone has issues that they need to address. The people in this book do eventually address and get help for their problems. I liked the fact also as has been mentioned in other reviews that the book does not have blow by blow graphic sex on everything other page. I loved the book. It was the first time I have read a book by Inglath Cooper but it won't be the last.

Engaging Story
I loved this story. Hannah and Will were really likeable and interesting characters. I really liked what made them tick. I loved how they knew each other in school, the classic 'brain and jock' and what they learned about each other and their impressions, wasn't what they thought. They were surprised and pleased with the friendship they gained by getting to know one another. Fast forward 10 years. Will a returning football hero and Hannah a small time librarian. Each had ups and downs but were drawn together again. Now each are reserved and uncertain. They slowly regain the friendship and are comfortable with each other but old hurts come back to haunt them. This was a great read and held plenty of interest right to the very end. HEA ending too. I highly recommend!

Currently reading all of her books, love the way she gets her characters to meet. Also the way she described the towns inhabitants and the town itself.
