Can this be connected to the head unit aux input?

Yes you can. You can also wire it to run with the aux power so it’ll connect and disconnect every time the car is powered on.

How do i get to turn off, i have it wired correctly but when i turn off amp it stays on how do i stop this??

Depending on how you wired it, you need to wire it to your amp switch or if it has remote power (usually a blue wire) use that.

Why does it not light up when I try to connect

It only light up when you have 12 volts to it. The blue light will flash until its paired up to a device.
