This product was a gamer changer for hauling our camper. After seeing the truck squat and feeling the sway when hauling I wanted more confidence and a smoother ride. The quality was great, instructions were easy to follow, and the weight transfer and sway control were remarkable.

If there is a single purchase you must make with a bumper pull camper, it is a weight distribution hitch. It completely changes the game when driving with a reasonably large trailer. The anti-sway bar is a nice add. The fact that it comes as a unit makes it very easy to attach. I gave it four stars on installation because the sway bar does require you to bolt to the frame. This is going to be difficult for some. But once in place, it is very easy to attach. I believe the same company makes one that does not require bolts in the frame for a little more money. So that might be worth it for those who are nervous about drilling through the frame. Not bolting to the frame also allows you to move the hitch to other campers, so that is something to consider. Back on the topic of the weight distribution hitch. I was driving a Ford Expedition, and it completely changes how it handles. Without it, you get a "wag the dog" feel as the front wheels feel like they are ready to lift off the ground. Once you lock this in place (and adjust properly), you get a smooth ride and your front wheels sit comfortably on the ground, even on bumpy roads. One tip for beginners is this, the weight distribution hitch uses clamps for your frame (as opposed to the sway bar that bolts on). The clamp is tightened with a bolt that presses against the frame. You only need tighten that bolt enough to keep it from moving. Your frame will begin to bend if you just keep cranking, so don't do that. You have to remember, the clamp brackets have a continual downward force and will stay strongly in place with the camper attached. One more thing. This system is heavy. This is a good thing. It is solidly made. But if you yourself are smaller framed, you might need a second person to help you install the hitch and stabilizing bars. Otherwise, just consider it like your free weight lifting gym membership while out on vacation :-) All in all, this was an essential purchase for the camper and I am very happy with how well it works and how easy it is to use once you get past the small learning curve.

It has worked well with my camper! Easy to install and easy to adjust! Stay in the weight limits and this weight distribution hitch works great!!

This product looks well made. Very heavy so you might want two people to help with the box unless you open it up on your door step and move one piece at a time. Cons: First issue is the hardware doesn't come with a washer for the bolt so when tightening the bolt for the ball mount to the shank it looks like the head of the bolt could get jammed into the slot that pivots for the distribution tensioning. The second thing is the instructions do not have a list of tools needed so I had to take everything with me to a store to figure out which wrenches I should use. Also, no torque specifications are provided in the instructions. Pros: Easy to use, and very durable finish. Comes with everything needed to install.(I do believe 2 additional washers could help) Balls come mounted and pre-tensioned. One thing to mention is that a longer drop shank is needed for the Tahoe and Suburban or any vehicle with a bumper hidden receiver.(GMC YUKON/Cadillac Escalade) "GM family" as far as I am aware because most trailers tongue height is around 18" to 20" of the ground. This setup will result in the top of the ball mount being at 24 and 3/4" off the ground. I used CURT 17123 to get the 5 inch drop I needed to level my trailer properly with tye weight distribution hitch.

Great product . Really help stabilize the camper will being towed . The weight distribution system helped a lot . Easy to adjust and install . The size should fit most vehicles .

Instructions could be a little clearer but it is a nice easy to set up hitch. I should say my son in law bought a round bar WDH for a similar trailer from Harbor Freight that looked exactly the same sans sway bar. I mean identical, close enough to make me wonder if it was made in the same China factory. This one was nice because a lot of it , including the balls, was pre assembled, which saves a lot of work and you need fewer big wrenches.Good hitch for the money, and does a good job when I pull.

This is a great product for towing didn’t have now sway very durable an easy to install

No description of criteria that could affect fit. The hitch could not be installed on my boat trailer due to no way to install the brackets that connect to the tension bars. The customer service phone # on the literature in the box connects you to a medical device company. I contacted Curt Mfg (after finding another phone # on my own). As requested, I sent photos of my trailer showing how the brackets could not be installed as is and asking for possible solutions. I never received a response from Curt so returned the hitch.

Works great with new trailer. Don't need the anti sway if you know how to drive.

This makes an incredible towing difference. Holds the vehicle level and reduces any sway. If you're a Novice like myself Don't tow without one.. Safety is number 1 when towing I totally recommend this product.

This product came very fast . It was well packaged, very good quality and very easy to install . I checked around rv locations and the very same product was much more expensive. I would recommend this product.

So far it all seems to fit well ! True test when I pull my unit on long trip this month ! Will repost then !

Haven’t tried it out yet but it all looks good and appears to be quality made
