Works great to glue detached soles from shoes!
My favorite Timberland boat shoes have this unfortunate tendency to have the rubber soles come off - about half of them do this eventually. Shoe Goop had long been the glue I used to re-attach the soles, but it wasn't very good, mainly because it took too long to dry and the bond wasn't very strong - while it was drying it also had a tendency to let the sole slide around out of position. Anyway, this stuff worked great. It dries very fast, and the sole stuck on and stayed in place immediately. I put some clamps and compression on and the glue was dry by the next day. Haven't tested the durability much yet, I'll re-post if the sole comes off. This is a VERY FAST DRYING elastic cement! It is not really a contact cement, and in any case I've never found contact cements to work like they are supposed to (apply to both sides, let dry partially, then clamp the two parts). In my experience, the cement bond for alleged contact cements usually fail if you let the two sides dry even partially, and so it is really always better to just clamp immediately. The instructions in the video on this webpage may be from Angelus, but if you follow those instructions, they are going to make it highly likely that the bond fails! Do NOT let the two sides dry! Clamp immediately after applying the glue to both sides! So, ignore all these low rating reviews posted by glue newbies who were probably following the video instructions and just don't know any better. Correction to the Addendum: 12/1/2024 Well, I said I would re-post if the sole came off again from the Timberland shoes, and, what do you know, I got my left - right mixed up and it turned out that it was the left shoe, which had never been glued, that had half the sole peel off. The right shoe was the one that had the sole come half off, and was the one I glued with this Angelus Cement back in February. And that sole is STILL INTACT! So, apologies to Angelus for the mistake. I did glue the sole of the left shoe with Barge's Cement, and so now I have a reference for comparison between the two. Back to a five star rating. Addendum #2: More of the left sole of this shoe started separating. I think this was in a part of the sole that had not separated yet, so it's not the Barge's Cement. Anyway, I spot glued this part of the sole with the Angelus cement and it is doing fine.

Flexible hold for your shoes or boots!
My husband is notorious for having his boots fall apart at the sole. No clue how he does this. We usually use a different shoe glue, but it didnโt work this time, so I opted for the Angelus shoe cement. IT WORKED! It doesnโt have that crusty feel. Itโs more flexible so moves with the glued sole and seems to be much more durable. It didnโt take long to cure (we left it 24 hours) and it was way cheaper to get this than new soles. Highly recommended!

The quality of the glue is impressive.
This is a very strong glue. I haven't used it to repair Jordan 11's. I repaired UA Fat Tires shoes with it. I'm runnig trail with them, raining in the mud and they are holding on really well I must say. I used the heating gun. I think that is important in my opinion. My repair was more practical than pretty. But it was good first practice before trying to repair some collectible high value shoe.

Get 2 bottles for larger feet and repairs...
If you have multiple spots to glue and larger size foot; (soles, straps insteps etc. ). and if you prep like the MFG video, get 2 bottles for use. Also, do outside due to strong smell.(goes away after it dries/cures.) .Don't rush applications, let it set for 24hrs for a good bond. My task was a pair of sandals and it was 100* out in shade. glue dried fast , keep cap on when between use for 2 applications, for straps and top soles, btm soles to set on 2 pair, I rubber banded and left them inside to cure. It worked so far...Goes on thick and be care full protect around work space.

Torture tested
I've tried several glues so far. This one held for two months of dry weather and then one month of wet weather before separating. Other glues I tried, stuff in tubes, lasted at most a week or two. I didn't sand surfaces much, so I recommend sanding with larger grit and roughing surfaces up really well. I live on a mountainside full of those famous Pennsylvania rocks, so I really torture shoes on rough, wet, rocky slopes a lot, and my three months use probably would be a lot longer for most people. It tears apart very gradually, starting at the outside edge. A second application on the outside edge was done on one shoe, which was un-beautiful, and milky colored where it's thicker. That shoe shows no separation yet, while the other shoe began to separate at the outside edges at first, then came apart. As the glue or its vapors will melt rubber bands use a polyethylene bag over the shoe before applying them.

Poor quality show glue
Inferior shoe glue, very poor quality, It was almost dried up upon opening this to try 1x I tightened the top as it should be, Iโm not a beginner Iโve been using shoe products for 45yrs now s I know what Iโm saying and how to properly handle products. it should not be all dried up like this, as I have other glue for over 2yrs stored in a cool place as this was, the brush applicator came right off as well. Very disappointed with is product, I hope the seller makes this right, I bought this a few months ago and just went to use it! Also the can was 1/4 full as if it was used already or they do not put 4oz in the bottle/can I didnโt use it! Like I stated I just opened to try on shoes that were ready for a repair and I canโt even use it, what a let down! Do not buy

NOT contact cement!
This is not a typical contact cement. Most cement used for shoes is a true contact cement. You brush it on both surfaces, let it get tacky, then carefully place the surfaces together and it's permanent. This cement does not adhere on contact. It requires clamping for 24 hours. You've been warned... It does work though if you can manage to hold the two parts together firmly.

Worth the money for repair
Worked well on reattaching the sole of tennis shoes. Seems to be holding pretty good but the jury is still out on how long it stays glued. Definitely worth the money to try.

Works a treat
It's very good, does exactly what was required. Sanding and Clamping essential but as long as you do that it's rock solid
