Works well
There tends to be a argument on what works better, Bentonite or Sparkolloid and I use both, just not together. To me, they both have their purpose. Bentonite is a clay and does quite well at removing the heavy sediment out of the wine but sometimes, it doesn't get the wine completely clear. Bentonite has a negative charge and attracts positively charged particles but some of the particles also have a negative charge and the Bentonite does not attract them all that well, leaving the wine a bit cloudy. Sparkolloid has a positive charge and will capture those particles, leaving your wine crystal clear. Sparkolloid is also much easier to use. Do don't need to spend long amounts of time trying to getting it to mix into the water like Bentonite, just boil some water, stir in a tablespoon of Sparkolloid into it and let it sit for a few minutes to cool, an dump it into the wine. Give it a stir and in a few days, you will be amazed at how clear the wine will get. A word of warning, they CANNOT be used at the same time. Bentonite is negatively charged and Sparkolloid is positively charged and if put in at the same time, will simply cancel each other out and no clearing will happen at all. Don't ask me how I know that. I just start with Bentonite and after the wine has cleard as much as it will, I rack it into a clean container and hit it with the Sparkolloid for 3 to 4 days and the wine is crystal clear. Then it gets a final racking, possibly some sweetening, and the into the bottles it goes. The only reason it is getting 4 instead of 5 stars is that it does not come in a size that I would like. This package is way to big and I really don't like those zip lock type bags this big and the only other size that they offer is way to small. I'm afraid that at my rate of use, the remaining powder will become a solid block before I can use it all. Other than that, this stuff is easy to use and works great.

Buy volume
Don't waste your time on just a little if you are producing more than a couple gallons. Buy the 1 pound bag.
