Tightly. If you’re serious about keeping bolts in place and willing to pay a little extra for quality, the Nord-Lock Wedge Locking Washers are worth it.

Picked up a set of these to install on the axle shafts of my 2019 Pacifica and they work like a charm. For some reason the Pacifica doesn't have any sort of "locking" mechanism for their axle nuts, not even any sort of knurling on the face of the nut. You torque it down to the recommended foot-pounds and a a week later it has loosened itself. Some have tried going with a higher than recommended torque value and they still loosen up. This is happening to a surprising number of people based on what I've read in a Pacifica forum. Some bright sole in that forum came across these and gave them a try. Worked like a charm them. Other have tried them and had the same success. I figured what do I have to lose, so I bought a set myself, installed them, and torqued the nuts to the recommended value. I am very happy to say that I have checked the axle nuts 3 times over the last few weeks, and they are no longer backing off and loosening up. These lock washers have solved the problem for myself and many others. I highly recommended them for anybody with a 2017 to 2022+ Chrysler Pacifica that has the axle nut issue!

If you have fasteners that keep coming loose, YOU NEED THESE! Your fasteners WILL NEVER come apart by themselves with these on there - and to take them apart, you have to WANT them to come apart. For critical components that you don't want to come loose until you say so, GET THESE, and forget about your previous problems. Star washers, nylocks, loctite, split washers, serated flange nut/bots...they ain't got nothin' on NOR-LOCKS!

It works great, but feel the price is a little too high

Purchased these to enable me to ensure that my C7 Z06 J56 Brembo Caliper bolts would work loose. GM and other manufacturers spec a ridiculously high torque spec that renders the bolt "Single Time" use as it's a TTY torque, Torque to Yield. I think the factory spec was like a 160 ft. lbs. With the Nord-Lock I would torque the caliper mount bolts to like 140 -145 ft/lbs, and then feel safe re-using bolts. Taking the car to track days meant I had the calipers off at least every spring, and some seasons once during the summer. Insane to keep purchasing new Caliper mounting bolts every time. Great product, and I was able to re-use them for at least 3 cycles before the locking ridges started showing some signs of rounding off the sharp edges.

Perfect for bolts that come loose, I kept having turbo to manifold flange nuts come loose and blow out the gasket. I found these after doing some research, and they have worked flawlessly. 2 drift events in and the nuts didn't move at all, usually would blow out gaskets every event.

I've used these for safety sensitive drill rig operations. work like a charm. there's a good solid "crack" if you need to loosen them for whatever reason. Worth the investment.
