I have purchased this in late Feb 2020 and started peeling off paint only after a few months. The photo was taken in May 2020, which was only 3-month after the purchase. The manufacturer should have applied a clear seal coat painted on top of beautifully detailed paint of the Crocodile head and it is a shame that it got peeled off. I will spray UV clear seal paint to prevent peels if I buy it again.

We were getting work done in our pool and it got green really fast and I am so glad this alligator head was there to startle every single person that got to see it! Super realistic, light weight, and, oh, so fun for what I needed it to do. I had so much fun ordering it, opening the package, placing it in the water, getting startled myself when I went back to check on it, and every time I got the contractors to admit they had to take a double-look! Not sure why others order this, but I did it as a joke to scare people and it worked!

This thing looks great in the water. I wanted to attach it to a fishing line, so I tried putting a screw in the bottom. The pilot hole I went to drill popped thru in .3 seconds. It was so flimsy, I had to find a different way of attaching the line. But if you don't plan on drilling or screwing anything in to it, you're good.

This little alligator head has done a good job keeping away the cowbirds from our pool deck. And through this Texas heat and 100+ degree weather, he still looks really good!

The bottom is soft and is coming apart. I bought this for my pool to try and keep the ducks out of it. It’s falling apart and has white stuff all over the pool. After one night in the pool the bottom is like paste. In my case the ducks didn’t pay any attention to this. They landed in the pool right next to it.

Allie the alligator is awesome. A little smaller than I imagined, but perfect for the job. I put her in a local wetland pond next to the bike trial as a joke. Some people freaked, some laughed, but now everyone loves her and they look for her when they walk by. Serious Covid 19 shelter in place entertainment.

I bought this to put in my small (140 gal.) pond to try and deter a blue heron that was snacking on my goldfish. First off, it looks amazing. Really well painted and a decent size. However, after being in my pond 1 week, I noticed small white particles in my pond. I pulled the alligator head out so I could check the fountain pump and the whole bottom was soft and disintegrating. Hence the white particles in my pond. While it floats well and looks good, it does *not* hold up well in water! Which is ironic, because it's rated for use in a pond. If you don't have plants or fish and want something funny, this is it. Probably won't last long but it's fun. If you have fish, avoid this!
