No Shipping Problem for Me!
I choose my title to emphasize that I did not have any shipping problems. It wouldn't surprise me if the owner of the company read the previous post and has made corrections to shipping. This is SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT I very highly recommend this to anyone. I get bottled water because sometimes the tap water does not taste right. I had bought a water dispenser that dispenses hot and cold water. I immediately regretted buying one of those devices becaue of the very slow water delivery. You have to bend down and hold your cup in position for a while, sometimes while operating the safety device for hot water. So, you have to hold your cup in one hand, and push those tiny buttons at the same time. THIS PUMP AVOIDS ALL THOSE PROBLEMS. The water flows very quickly out of the device. I don't even like drinking cold water, so I prefer that it not be refrigerated. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, I don't have to try to invert that huge 5 gallon bottle over an electic unit, trying not to get water all over the place. I HATE LOADING THE ELECTRIC UNITS! I also have a bad back and I'm female, I don't have the strength and have to ask hubby to do it. On the contrast, with the pump, you don't have to invert any bottles at all. And it is very easy to mount the pump. You just set the bottle on a counter and screw on the pump. I bought sturdy a 30" high wooden cabinet from Michaels. I think it cost $25 and I stained and sealed it. I can put my drink mixers in there, ie., lemonade, coffee, tea, etc. So it is easy to find a stand for the pump and bottle if you want one. I recommend the Michaels cabinet over any of the custom stuff bought on line. Regarding the quality of the pump, I've only had the product for 1 month now, but this pump seems very sturdy and it functions very well. Water comes out fast, minimal pumping required. It is easy to pump this pump.

Wonderful Pump!!!
This pump works awesome! It pumps out water at a very reasonable rate and without much effort. The tube goes all the way to the bottom but I do have to angle it slightly just because the jug is convex at the bottom but I'd still say a perfect fit. It's 100% manual which is what I wanted since I didn't want to have to charge something or replace batteries and if the world ends, this thing will still work :D I didn't like having the jug on the angled rack and it took up almost a whole counter. It was annoying. I also didn't want some large dispenser taking up floor space. This "lil" pump made for the perfect compromise with the smallest foot print possible and I have over 3/4 of my counter now. I have an AmericanMaid 5 gallon jug I gather came from Walmart (my girl's brother got it years ago). I also bought some caps off here specifically for it which do not work BUT this pump fits and seals proper. I only mention that since there have been some reviews about issues w/ the AmericanMaid jugs. 100% satisfied and I finally am willing to fill this 5 gallon jug and lug it to/from my car (things are heavy when they're full ) :D

Most reliable, easy-to-use hand pump I've used
I brought this pump with me to camp in the desert for 9 days (at Burning Man). We went through 7 jugs of water, which sat in the sun in 110F temperatures during the day and cooled down to 40F at night. Even with the big temperature changes (which presumably caused pressure changes), we had no problems with the pump. Over the years, I've used at least half a dozen hand pumps and battery powered pumps. None were as easy or as reliable as this one. We mostly used the pump to fill our camelbaks, which require some dexterity to hold open, so it's important that you can pump one-handed and that the water squirts in the same direction while you pump. This pump was great. Pros: - Easy to install; take the plastic cap off the bottle, hand-tighten the crank and you're ready to go. - Easy to remove; untighten the crank. - Pumps with one hand - Pumps automatically after a few pumps if you hold down the top - just make sure you let go with some space in your container because it takes a moment to stop pumping when you release the button. - Consistent flow while pumping; no need to wiggle your container back and forth to catch the stream. Cons: - A couple of inches are left in the bottom. The bottle becomes easy to lift, so it's not too bad to pour it out unless you're trying to fit it into a small glass. - There isn't a great way to store it when you aren't using it. - Only works with the 5 gallon jugs, which have more expensive water than you can get out of your tap, etc.

good for the price
Its a good pump for the price. It's made of plastic and pumps out water easily. You can't pump it very fast or the tube in the center will come out or it might get stuck on one of the edges. It's an easy fix, but i woildn't sugest it for small childeren. I got a 5 gallon jug at wincow that has a slight bow at the top. It sometimes pope off whime i'm pumping. the screw on mechanism dosn't seem to do anything. the rubber keeps it suctioned on but it's not a tight seal. You have to pump it 5 or 6 times to fill up a glass of water, many more times if it more than half empty. It beats turning the bottle upsidedown. Overall I like it. It's like when you get a new used car. It looks awesome and works well until you get frustrated at the little things. Just be happy that it didn't cost much.

My old friend
We have been using 5 gallon water bottles for about 16 years now, and have used various dispensers during that time. We have used the electric coolers, the ceramic base dispensers, and three different brands of pumps. We have also used a cage-type bottle holder that pivots to dispense water. This pump is the best thing out there for me. We had this exact pump many years ago while living in Mexico, and it worked flawlessly. When we moved to the Dominican Republic, we left t our hand pump in Mexico, and bought a water cooler. I missed my hand pump from Mexico, so I purchased a new one, bit it wasn't this brand. I was. Very disappointed in it, and went back to the water cooler. After awhile, I decided to buy a different pump, like this one, but it was also a disappointment. We live in the states again, and the other day I came across this pump. I was very excited thinking it was like my old, lost friend from Mexico. I was very happy when I hooked it up and tried it out. It pumps solid, does not come apart, and never leaks a drop after filling a container. I found my old friend! If you want a pump-type dispenser for 5 gallon water bottles, this is the one you want. It works perfectly.

Great pump if you don't mind little exercise to get water..^^;
Easy to install. Easy to clean. Easy to use. Construction quality is pretty good. Reviews saying that this is not sturdy enough made me a bit nervous but I guess the product is sturdy enough to bear normal usage. I have no problem using it for more than a month. One concern was that this pump pumps air into the bottle instead of sucks the water out of the bottle. This made using the pump a bit harder especially when the bottle is less than half full because it needed few pumping to make enough air goes into the bottle and have enough pressure to pump water out. However, I think this is actually good because water does not come through pumping/vacuum mechanism like siphone pump does. Therefore water always passes through clean line of pathway as long as you clean the parts regularly. Another reason I like this better than other water dispensers is that this doesn't need to make bottles upside down. I often spell a bit of water when I tried to replace bottles and this pump removes those mass from me. Although other people might not agree, I gave 5 stars because this pump works fine and especially for the price I paid, i can't be satisfied more.

The Best Manual Water Pump
I have used several manual water pumps, different brands.This Dolphin is, by far,the best manual pump of all.It stays together, the stem into the pump mechanism, and though plastic....it is a high quality, strong, long lasting material. Don't waste money on less expensive manual water pumps! You will regret it. This Dolphin used to be easier to find, but I did have to search to get a second one, just to make sure I have at least two .... they are the ONLY ones that work smoothly and effortlessly and FIT well onto the five gallon water bottles.I have been lifting the five gallon water jugs onto my crockery dispensor for decades... But just because I still CAN lift them, doesn't mean I SHOULD ! The Dolphin pump has saved my back.

Its an overall good product but could be improved.
This water pump works! I did have a water dispenser that I had to flip the 5 gallon bottles upside down on so the water could be dispensed. It was not an easy task and water would spill out. The water started tasting bad so I had to throw it out. I decided to get the Dolphin water pump. It is much more convenient than the other dispenser. No tipping upside down. Simply insert the pump tighten it and you are ready to pump water after you stick the 4 pieces together and it is easy to do. The water tastes great and clean and the pump works very well. It is a little difficult for little kids to pump but my 8 year old does pumps it although it is kind of difficult for her at times. And when the jug gets kind of low on water it needs to be pumped more to get the water out. I would say its a great buy. One thing I noticed is when the water gets low I have to pump various times to get the water flowing out quickly but it still works good. Update: I have been using this for a while now and it works. A few things that would make it much better though would be to make the tube that goes into the water stay on better. It has slipped of on different ocaisions and I hve to open it up and pop it back on so that the water will pump again. They could make it to screw on instead of pop on and off. The other things are making it easier to pump and get the water to stop faster instead of keep running. Overall it does work and I do rocomend it.
