Amazing color scheme and built quality is fantastic! I really wanted to try G-Shock but with so many colors and variation makes it hard to choose, I ended my search with this model because the uber edgy cool looks, kinda sporty yet raw, I love how the orange and dark grey playout, I dont bother about others who complaint about the dimmed backlight or the hard to read display at night, because nowadays, I believe everyone having smartphones and at most time, our watch has become some sort of accessories, we have become so tied to our smartphone for almost everything, even just to glance at the time. So, no complaint about it from me, and to be honest, that orange dial is just perfect size and its definitely readable at night (with the backlight pressed). I'm very happy with this watch and I can say all of my friends wanted 1 for themselves! Awesome watch - just too nice to stop looking at. Have the white one, loved it, but the band changed color after wearing it a lot. Hoping this one stays nicer longer. Didn't realize it was not black when I ordered it, but was very pleasantly surprised to see the dark grey. Very nice looking, probably looks better with the grey. These watches are just about indestructible. With the sleek looks of this one I've already got people asking about it. I notice a lot of people complaining about the light not being suitable for other gshocks, and it holds true for this. The background on the digital is black with the number/ letters being a lighter color. This does make it a little more difficult to see, but works none the less. Same great features with the other GA110 models. Don't hesitate to buy this watch, it looks even better in person!!!! Super fast shipping, great seller!

Was looking for a watch to wear to work. Mostly I own dress watches and they aren't suitable for what I do for a living. I didn't want to give up style completely so I bought my first G-Shock. It won't be my last. Yes the light only illuminates the clock hands and yes the date/day of week screens are not easily seen. But none of that really bothers me. I'm not tech savvy but not tech illiterate either and the directions to set up the watch were very easy to follow. One huge positive for me that I didn't see anybody else mention is that the watch is very light on your wrist. You can easily forget it's even there.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift a year ago, he wears this daily. He says that it fits great and best is he never has to worry about getting it wet because of the water resistance. Great purchase for the money

The watch is advertised as a 55mm and that is why I got it. It's not 55mm, it's 51mm. I ordered two different watches style , one 53mm and this one. The 53mm was bigger. I checked my purchases. Although it seems to be a good watch it's small., 51mm like the other two colors. To those that have no understanding of size dimensions who cares. Learn by trial and error. I like larger sized watches. This looks good but its small on a mans wrist. Good for a kid. Still gets 4 stars because its a fabulous and magnificent G - Shock. Looses a star because advertised incorrectly. Good watch though.

I bought this for my huz and it is a real good quality watch! It’s fun enough for day to day and durable enough for a full construction/office/workshop day.

For looks alone, I give this 5 stars. I love wearing this during the weekends. This really caught my eye at Macy's department store last March 2014. Black and orange, how could you go wrong with that color combination on a rugged watch? It looks not really understated but not really bling-y or garish. For functions, it does have the usual stopwatch, timer, alarm, world time, 20 bar water resist, with that G-Shock durability they have been famous for. BUT, it could be a challenge for most to read the digital functions on this, due to the underwhelming LED backlight coupled with a negative display. The analog hands are the only way you could read the time at a glance.To summarize, if you want an awesome looking analog/digital G-Shock that doesn't scream "Look at my G-Shock!", get the GA-110TS-1A4 to wear strictly during daytime. If you want readability anytime of the day with all the usual G-Shock features, look for a positive display G-Shock.
