But luckily, they are available online. I love these as much as the Niederegger ones - no real difference. Their consistency and sweetness is exactly like the kind I used to eat overseas. The coating isn't overbearing and mostly decorative anyway. I recommend eating them at room temperature - if kept cold, they get harder and more brittle. Warmth brings out the marzipan taste better. They should all but melt in your mouth - a treat best savored slowly. :) Review: Brought back nice memories - but didn't cost as much - I bought these marzipan potatoes because I love marzipan, but have not had it in a very long time, and because I didn't want to spend a lot more money buying something fancy. They were pretty good as far as I'm concerned. They were a little too sweet, but for me that wasn't a big deal, as they were what I had wanted them to be. The shipping was also very timely and was in fact a couple days early, which I appreciated. Overall, I'd have to say that if your taste in aesthetics and your taste buds are not too picky, these are a great buy. From a guy's perspective their great - cheap and to the point with no frills.

My favorite!
These were a staple at my Oma’s when I was growing up. She has since passed and they always remind me of her. I treat myself to them once a year. I can’t have them in the house all the time or I’ll eat them all in one sitting!! lol

This product is not bad but not the best either, and I actually didn't realize how small the Kartoffelns are. I had just tried Niederegger before buying this and it doesn't even compare to their quality. This product is VERY sweet and not the best Marzipan around, it's like the sugar is all you can taste. If you like sweet things you might not find it so bad, but be advised that the Marzipan quality is far much inferior than Niederegger. I gave it 3 instead of 2 Stars for the fast shipping and good product appearance!
