Butter Dish with Lid White Fine Porcelain

Nice knob on top to be able to get a grip on the lid. Big enough that the butter doesn't get all over the sides of the cover. Basic design that will fit in with most white dish sets.

It's pretty, and it's long enough to fit a full stick of butter; however, the lid doesn't sit flat against the bottom, and I feel like too much air can get through, and that will be bad to eat butter that's basically not completely closed on the counter.

Exactly as stated. I love butter, but hate seeing it all droopy or crumbed-up on the counter. I especially hate when my husband shakes the garlic salt (which gets everywhere) and my yummy morning toast and coffee has garlic undertones, yuck! At any rate, I love the simplicity of this dish. It will fit perfectly with my decor any time of year. The only thing I might change is some place for a butter knife. I don't like to keep getting knives dirty and there is nowhere to put one, but the counter. Other than that, I really liked this dish for style and price!

This butter dish has the look that I wanted to replace my ancient Corelle pattern, but I am disappointed that the lid does not seem to have any ridge to sit in. The one long side does not even seem level. It's not worth it to me to return it, but keep looking if you want a piece you can carry to the table without concentration.

The lid is 'loose', for lack of a better term, and slides around. Other than that, it works as advertised.

Good product. However, the top does not fit tight to the base. Looks great though. Bought two in the event one should break. BB

The lid, as other reviewers have mentioned, does not really fit secure. I can live with this. At least it does fit in the area where it's indented for it.What I don't like is that the finish is very rough to the touch. It doesn't feel like porcelain. It feels like stoneware. The finish itself has many air bubbles in it .It also feels too heavy and thick for real porcelain. Not what I would have expected at this price point. I would think I could buy a very similar butter dish at the dollar store.I have not decided as to whether I am going to return it to Amazon. But, I am not going to recommend it.

I received a butter dish as part of a set but it did not have a handle on the top of it so I could lift it up. For years I would grab the sides to lift it and it was always getting dirty and slippery. This little butter dish is the perfect replacement and holds a cube of butter perfectly! I am very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone!
