A fifth-grade genius turns the spotlight on gradesโgood and badโin this novel from Andrew Clements, the author of Frindle . Nora Rose Rowley is a genius, but don't tell anyone. She's managed to make it to the fifth grade without anyone figuring out that she's not just an ordinary kid, and she wants to keep it that way. But then Nora gets fed up with the importance everyone attaches to test scores and grades, and she purposely brings home a terrible report card just to prove a point. Suddenly the attention she's successfully avoided all her life is focused on her, and her secret is out. And that's when things start to get really complicated....

Not sure if my son will like it, but I certainly did!
I try to preview books my 8 year old son reads so I can tell how much of the story he gets. In this case I liked the story so much that I just kept reading to the end. Aside from the fact that his stories are funny and engaging Mr. Clements has a gift for not talking down to kids. It is obvious that he thinks of his audience as intelligent individuals who just happen to be young. Keep up the good work, sir! I am a big fan!

Pretty good book!
The Report Card by Andrew Clements keep me up all night! The only part I didn't like was when Nora talked about her childhood which was kind of in the middle of no where but overall it was a great book! I would recommend this to students, teachers, and anyone who goes to school so that you could relate like for students how you hate test and grades and teachers with having meetings and handling other students! Keep it up Andrew Clements!!!

AMAZING!!
This was an amazing book. Recommended for ages 9-12. Andrew Clements is s a very open mind and isn't afraid to let t loose. Creativity and intelligence flows throughout this book, making it very interesting indeed. I hope everyone who comes to read this has as much fun as I did flicking the pages, wondering what would come next to greet me in this fascination of a story.

4th Grade Appropriate.
I teach 4th grade. My class really enjoyed it and it led to a discussion on grades and keeping them in perspective.

this books is amazing
I thought this book was very interesting because Nora has such an amazing mind and when you the book it feels like your in her mind. She has so many interesting ideas and how she gets them to work! There are so many ways to explain and I don' t want to give the book away so I am not telling you.

It's a good book but i feel it is a little overrated
Liked the beginning of the story and didn't like how it ended . we had very high expectations from this book but the book's ending was not like we expected and was rather abrupt.
