Description: - This version eliminates the 1.0mm 6P SM06B GPS interface of V2.52 old version, and change it into DF13-4P I2C external compass interface. - V2.52 I2C interface changes to multifunctional MUX interface - Modified version added isolation resistor, when the OSD interface used with telemetry, the interfaces is effectively avoided - V2.52 version 3.5V power supply adopts IPS79133, 6V withstand voltage, output current 100mA, need to supply power for six IC, slightly inadequate power supply ability, easy to be burnt dwon. The new version adopts US LP2985-3.3, 16V withstand voltage, more reliable, redcucing the possibility of Bad Gyro health APM V2.8.0 Flight Controller - Needle: staight - Power supply: LP2985-3.3 - Max voltage: 16V - Add a 47uF tantalum capacitor - Port: MUX (UART0, UART2, mnnI2 and OSD are optional, OSD is the defaulted output) Jumper cap choose: - Built-in compass: plug the jumper cap in the MAG pin header. - External compass: pull up the jumper cap from the MAG pin header. Package Included: - 1* APM 2.8 Board - 1* APM2.8 Case - 5 * Servo cables

No header pins in MAG layout
I should probably point out firstly that I'm not really learned in a lot of areas in RC electronics but I see no reason why the MAG layout should not have pins in them. Are we supposed to solder this ourselves or what? I can't even use jumper cables to get the internal compass working. Waste...

Good budget controller
Bottom line. Easy to use mission planning capable flight controller.Pros:no solder skills required, plug and play setup.Easy setup with ground control station.Protective case.Cons:Sadly, The APM2.8 board is at end of life. The last ardupilot Copter firmware build that can be installed is (AC v3.2.1) and for Plane is Plane 3.3.0Even though it is end of life, it still functions as designed and is a great option at a fraction of the cost of other flight controllers. I'm using this as a mission capable wing flight controller. It's giving me the option to fly autonomously with confidence instead of constantly crashing the aircraft bc i get my controls backwards in my head flying line of site.
