He was SO excited when it arrived - we had already picked up sweat pants and a hoodie so we would be ready when it got here. We immediately opened the box and checked it out. One of the legs had a bad connection and the other strips would cut off as soon as I plugged that leg piece in. We still had plenty of time so I sent an email over to the customer service team at Inspired LED figuring they could at least give me some tips on fixing that one piece. I was surprised when within one hour of my email being sent I had a voice mail message from Erica at Inspired LED. As soon I was able to call back she said a replacement would be in the mail - not just that one piece either - a whole new set just to make sure the lights all matched.We just returned from Trick-or-Treating and my son is on cloud 9! He was the hit of the neighborhood! Everyone asked how we did it and commented about how cool it was. Fortunately I had enough left over from the body to reconfigure myself. Problem though since it's an adhesive I spent the next three hours trying not to move or constantly grabbing drooping arms/legs/head/etc. in order to keep things in some recognizable form.I saw another company that sold something similar that's based on clips instead of an adhesive strip that doesn't really work well with body movements.On the plus side as I was walking around at night I got a lot of compliments. I freaked a dog out that was heading towards me with his owners. The costume arrived and (with the YouTube video) was really easy to put together. When we finally put it on my son, he was absolutely THRILLED! The costume is AWESOME!!! My son was super excited to wear it to his school's halloween party on Friday night, October 30th. Well, let's just say the party did not go as planned. About 30 minutes into the party, a child jealous of my son's costume tackled him. When he was tackled, one of the cables from the costume was lost (the party was outside). My son, who is nine, was sobbing he was so upset and while several of his friends and parents of his friend tried to help us find the wire, we had no luck. He said that Halloween was ruined and that he was not going to go out trick-or-treating the next day because his costume was ruined (without the wire, the cosume would not light up). I had no idea what to do, so in a desparate attempt to resolve the issue, at 8:00pm on Friday night (yes, the day before Halloween), I called Inspired LED. Hazel answered the phone, heard my story, put me on hold and when she came back on the phone told me that they would over night express mail me the missing wire (at a signficantly reduced cost)! Hazel assured me that the missing wire would arrive before noon on Halloween day and she was right!!! By 10:0am Halloween day (only 14 hours later!!!), the wire arrived!!! BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I would without hesitation recommend Inspired LED for ANY of your LED projects or for a fun Halloween costume!
