Roland Foods Korma Curry Sauce, Specialty Imported Food, 70 Ounce, Pack of 1

Definitely exceeded my expectations, which were originally low. A 3 pound jug of curry sauce at a reasonable price didn’t sound promising. It exceeded expectations and I’m now ordering the other flavor.Criticisms in some reviews that it doesn’t taste like their grandma used to make are kind of silly when you think… it’s a 3 pound jug of curry sauce at a good price! If it was a 3 pound jug of what your grandma used to make it would probably cost a lot more.Roland is a major food service provider. Restaurants and caterers serve sauces (among many other food items), that their customers think are being cooked up in the back kitchen by auntie, but in fact we’re actually purchased in bulk from a food service provider. And most of these are pretty good or they would not stay in business for very long.The sauce is thick with a lot of onions and a lot of flavor, and very mild heat from the spices. I was able to taste the different ingredients, including coconut, turmeric, fennel….And if desired it could be made “fresher” by using it as a base and adding additional fresh ingredient's, but it is a good curry sauce at a good price.

A little on the sweet side but really very good for a store bought Korma sauce.

It tastes…okay, I would say, but different from what I expected it to be. Anyone knows any recipe for this so that I can make korma sauce that tastes like the one sold in restaurants?

This doesn’t taste anything like curry, it’s nasty Waste of 20$

Tasteless and water down. I would never use this again nor do I recommend it had to add several other ingredients, including coconut cream from a can and several other spices just to make taste decent.

I will but this product again, it also seems to keep well in the frig.....

I've purchased this twice over already, and I use it almost daily. I just add some red pepper flake or hot curry and I'm good to go.
