It works
For a lower cost filter cutter it does what it suppose to do. Only complaint is the cutting wheel is not designed to be replaceable if ever needed, but can be done if you're familiar working with tools and fabrication. Ive see cutters as much as $200, all the same general designed. Gradually increase the pressure of the cutting wheel while rotating the filter and you will get a nice clean cut. Works just like a pipe or tubing cutter.

Worked pretty good!
This cutter worked just as I expected, not perfect, but pretty good especially when you figure it was the least expensive one that I could find.

Professional grade
This cutter is fantastic and heavy duty. I work on cars and trucks and needed a cutter for all size filters. Look at the picture, I am over 6'2" and my hands are huge. Look at the size of it in my hand. This does everything I need and more, I am impressed with the quality.

It works, seems well built
All of these tools seem too expensive if you ask me. But I guess that's not up for debate here. Anyways, I decided on this one and have used it a few times now. It works well, and seems like it is well built and should last a long time. Other than the price, I have no complaints.

Great Customer service!
Works great, I cut a lot of oil filter with ease, I did cut a few hydraulic filters with it and probably tightened it too much too fast and broke the wheel, but the company stood behind the product and helped me out with a replacement. Would buy again, great customer service is hard to come by on here sometimes but these guys still have it!

Worked great. Once.
I seem to have hit upon the same problem that others have had: badly treated (or not treated at all) aluminum. Used it the first/only time to cut open an OEM Mazda automotive oil filter. Took a couple of turns to finally crack through. I backed the knob off so I could get the pieces out of the fixture, then couldn't thread in anymore. Picture shows the pulled threads. I might try to repair the thread. Or I might junk it and call it a lesson learned. - 3 stars on ease of use because it actually is easy to use - 1 star on value for money because spending $54 to cut open a $10 (if that) oil filter only one time is not money well spent - 2 stars on sheerness because it did eventually break through the outer steel casing, but at the cost of the tool itself

It works but
Does it work to open oil filters? yes. Here is what I found though the blade is not replaceable. It works for automotive filters OK a little hard though. The three filters off of my Kubota tractor it cut but with problems. The problems where the filters did not contact the rollers and the blade depth is to short causing the steel filter to rub on the tool making it so hard to turn I had to use a wrench. In the end it did cut them open. I plan on modifying it to make the blade replaceable and to make the roller wheels work. I may also upgrade the rollers to actual ball bearings. I would not recommend this tool.
