Lightweight, surprising durable and roomy travel pack
I bought this backpack 8 years ago, and it has gone with me on every vacation over that time. The small top pocket inside the main compartment is perfect for holding a passport and other items you might need to pull out during airport security and customs, and never again after that (way better than an easily picked front pants pocket), and the main compartment itself is really roomy. I have a telescoping tripod that collapses down to just over a foot long, and I can fit it into the compartment along with my travel umbrella, an iPad Air with Magic Keyboard, a travel pillow, an airplane tray sleeve with pockets for the iPad and my phone, and more. The middle compartment is where I store chargers, smaller bits of camera kit like my CPL/ND hybrid filter, mini-tripod, and also my AirPods and iPhone during airport security checks. The small pocket is where I’ll throw a bottle of Advil and another of Tylenol (I have chronic foot pain), along with other small items that I know I’ll need as I’m out and about. Other times, I’ve thrown neoprene beach socks and a beach towel in the main compartment, or things I bought while on a shore excursion. It really is very utilitarian and versatile in what it works with. Amazed it lasted 8 years, considering the thinness of the material and how lightweight it is. Real testament to the durability and quality of the product. Even on my last trip, where the inner lining was visibly peeling away, it kept everything inside nice and dry on the many rainy mornings I had. Buying another one for my next vacation and looking forward to having this one for another 8 years.

What a great backpack! It is extremely lightweight but holds a lot! I haven't actually carried it yet but it is packed for an upcoming trip and I think it will be exactly what I've been looking for! I travel quite a bit and have looked for a long time for something that I can carry along with a carry-on, that will hold a lot of things but still be able to carry for a long time. I have a lot packed in it and hope that it will hold up but with a lifetime guarantee how can you go wrong? I'm so excited about taking it on this next trip but also for using it when I ride my bike since I always want my phone, water, sports towel, etc and I think it will be perfect for that also! I like that the straps are netting and won't be hot when biking! I'll update after I've used it for a while and since this next trip is in two weeks, I should have a real good opinion by then! It is a trip to a lot of different waterparks and I'm planning on using it daily to carry everything I will need! I've already ordered another one for my granddaughter to use on the same trip! UPDATE: I used this backpack for my self and another one for my granddaughter for our trip and it worked perfectly! We packed them as a carry-on for the plane and then used it every day for the trips to the waterparks! It holds a lot and is easy to carry. It's really comfortable, water resistant and the straps are made of netting, which sounds strange but makes it really easy to carry even when it's full! They held up very well except the blue one is pulling apart a little at the top handle but I think it will still hold. I'll update if it comes apart and let you know how they handle it.

Nice daypack.
I have plenty of backpacks, but I wanted something easily packable that could use as a day pack. I'm going on a cruise in a few months and some of our excursions are 9 hours. I thought this would be helpful. It folds down into a very small pouch, and it is very lightweight. Two things that were important to me. It has three different zippered compartments plus a divider in the main compartment (nice size for an iPad). Surprisingly, I could fold it back down into its self-contained pouch when I was done using it, which was nice (they provide a little card that shows you how to do that). The capacity was very good as something I could put in my suitcase for traveling without taking up much weight or space, yet open it up into a quite nice size for holding all of my belongings for a day. The shoulder straps are quite thin (wide enough, just not very thick), making me worry about comfortably carrying it around too much, but the straps are adequate given I'm not wearing it for six or eight hours at a time, nor am I making this very heavy. All in all, I'm quite pleased with this purchase.

The Magical Backpack! [UPDATED TWO YEARS LATER]
UPDATE: It's been two years since I got this bag and it is still a little amazing wonder! I'm finally caving and buying another because after two years of abuse, the water resistance isn't what it used to be. Other than that? The bag looks just as it did the day I got it (but a little dirtier). There are no rips or tears or snags anywhere. I will continue to use this bag for some things but I need that water resistance. I think that the abuse it's taken over the two years it has served me is above and beyond anything any other bag could've survived (I had one piece of expensive luggage not survive the same trips as this backpack) My bag has served me extremely well during my initial month long adventure mentioned in the first review. It then spent Christmas in Budapest, tons of short trips near home, January and February well above the Arctic Circle in Finland, a month island hopping in Greece, and a last minute trip to see the solar eclipse in Oregon. I love it and it has definitely served me well. I look forward to the new adventures I will have with my new (more water resistant) bag! **************************************************************** This bag has wowed and amazed people the world over. Well, not the whole world but a few countries and I've no doubt that it will continue to wow and amaze. I bought it specifically for a month long urban adventure with my mum in Europe where we had a flat and shopped at markets and grocery stores. This pack lived in my regular travel bag and, occasionally, in my purse (which is not a large purse by any means) ready for any occasion we would need a larger bag or when we would stop at the market or grocery for provisions. I was always met with skepticism when I turned down a plastic bag and pulled out this tiny, green pouch. At one grocery, the employee was so fascinated that she demanded that I "do it again" while she called her co-workers over to witness the magic of a sizable backpack emerging from a little pouch. My mum, of course, asked me if they were going to burn me at the stake as they all oooh'd and aaaaaah'd at the "magic!" She's precious, my mum. The bag also came in handy for wet swimming suits and wet towels and, turned inside out, dried out straightaway. You can stuff a shocking number of items in here. Items with corners, heavy items, delicate items... It's like Mary Poppin's bag, really. Best of all, it's really comfortable to wear once you've shoved bottles of drink and dinner and breakfast for two (plus a bottle of liquor) in it. I remember reading others mentioning height issues so I'm a whopping 5'2" and it worked fine for me. My mum is somewhere just under 5' and she was comfortable wearing it as well.

So many reasons to buy this! Awesome bag, well built & lightweight
All the reasons to buy this great little backpack: (1) Convenient to keep in the luggage for those extra things you bring home. (2) So lightweight, but very sturdy and well made, perfect for lugging around all your "stuff" when at attractions / hiking (3) For reason number 2 above, great to keep 1 in your car / beach bag / tote (4) I recommend picking up a nice neutral color so no one has an excuse not to carry it! (for all those extra's & maybe someone else will carry the extra bag) (Why does everyone hand me their jackets / keys / collectible cups when finished... etc.???) I am not a pack mule... lol... nice thing is no one minds slinging this over their shoulder. (5) So small and compact when in its pouch & yes, I tried putting it back in the pouch myself to see if it would fit & with very little effort was able to repack it (almost) as good as factory compactness. Nice and convenient, I keep 1 in my luggage permanently so I will not forget it. Awesome for movie bag... I will buy their soda and popcorn, but draw the line at the candy... hit the dollar store on the way and have everyone pick out their favorites!!! (I digress... ahem.... yes, this is a great multi-purpose bag that is so convenient & compact when not in use :-) I really rely on honest reviewers, real purchasers, so please click below if this info has helped at all. Thank you and Enjoy!

Weightless small backpack for travel
Outlander Packable Handy Lightweight Travel Backpack Daypack Did you have trouble with the shoulder straps that others have complained about?" This backpack is exactly what it says it is. This met and exceeded my expectations. What I wanted was a backpack to fit my back, I am 5' 3" and normal weight, that weighed nothing, so I could fit anything and everything that I might need, and more, on an airplane trip, including a possibly, well,likely...., delay in flights, etc. I didn't need or want lots of padding and did I want not want many zippers. It is plenty big enough to hold as much as I'm willing to carry. It has only three zippers, this is perfect for dealing with passport, etc. but the main compartment is quite large and will hold quite a lot. The thing is weightless and hand washable. To top it off, it folds into a small zipped square at the end of it! I never did fold it back up as it was so easy to put that day's stuff into, or whatever I collected during that day I'd just shove it in, and I was able to kick it under wherever it was I needed to, or just as well carry it on my lap. I can say that I do recognize this material, it is really nice, I like it a lot, but this material breathes, so that if one were to wear it on the back it would be as friendly as a backpack can be. If you are looking for something you can put a lot of weight into, this isn't the one for you. I can't say I wore it much on my back that much as I was warned against pickpockets, etc, so I tended to wear both straps on one shoulder. It's already hand washed and ready to go next time! My third time using it quite a lot. I hope this helps. Best regards, Patricia Happy 2014

SATISFIED CUSTOMER - MET MY NEEDS FOR TRIP TO SPAIN - LOTS OF HIKING / WALKING ALL OVER THE PLACE
I purchased the orange 22L after reading all the reviews and looking at the images, including the 5'10" man-diagram. I am 5'1" and used this item as a day-pack for a 11 day trip to northwest Spain to walk the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James). We walked an average of 15 miles per day on hilly terrain and then overnighted in local accommodations. Our luggage for the night was transported to the inn each day so we could pack a light day-pack. There are four compartments - two main compartments that are medium and large in size, a smaller flat zipper compartment that you see in the image, and then two side mesh pockets. In the large compartment, I carried my 32 ounce water bottle, snacks, extra clothes, and a zipper pack to hold supplies and mememtos that I gathered during my walk. In the medium compartment, I carried my ziplock bag with toiletries and a small towel. In one side pocket, I carried my Canon PowerShot which I could easily take in and out without removing the pack. The other side pocket held my sunscreen - it was unusually hot the week of our trip (just got back on 9/9/16). I am short and was able to use the extra straps from the shoulder harness to secure the bag in front over my abdomen. I was concerned like other reviewers that the bag was going to be too small, but it does hold more than it seems and worked out great for me. I used the bag for all my excursions during this trip. My passport and money were kept in a neck wallet at all times, but it could have easily fit in this day-pack. I was more than satisfied with the performance of this bag. I opened and closed all the zippers numerous times each day and the quality and durability was quite satisfactory. No issues. The one caveat, If you want your water bottle to fit in the side mesh pockets, it would have to be quite small and that would not suffice for this type of activity. I did not mind carrying my water bottle in one of my hands (trek pole in the other) because it reminded me to drink and stay hydrated. Otherwise, bottle was in my main compartment and easy to get to but needed to take off the pack. Also was very comfortable and light.

It is a lightweight travel backpack that is capable of fitting a good amount of items inside of it
So this product does and is exactly what it claims to do/be. It is a lightweight travel backpack that is capable of fitting a good amount of items inside of it. Buyer be warned however, due to it's lightweight and portable nature the backpack has no shape or form of it's own so the bag will take the shape of anything placed inside. This means any rigid or sharp or hard object can be felt through the backpack on the wearer's backside. If this were the only concern I had with this backpack I would have given it 4 stars since after all for the price it served it's purpose. However, I have to give this bag 3 stars as I have found there to be discrepancies between each COLOR of bags. (no not models but colors). My friend and I both purchased this bag (he the black color and I the purple) prior to a short vacation abroad. While initially the bags appeared to be the same, upon closer inspection there were a few differences visible. I will be the first to note these are not major differences, but ultimately I think it's odd that there would be any distinction between the bags at all. 1) his bag has drawstring holsters on either side of the bag where the side-pockets were located, which is extremely convenient for holding and securing water bottles and liquids in place. My bag did not have this function all together and while usually it wouldn't be an issue, during our hikes it proved to be troublesome as my large water bottle continuously slipped out of the mesh pocket (on a separate occasion the lack of the drawstring locking mechanism resulted in my pocket umbrella falling out while we were walking around) 2) my bag did not come with the pictured carabiner while his bag did

Large bag easily holds a couple large bath/beach towels
Only got this bag on Friday, but have used it twice now for swimming with the family. Large bag easily holds a couple large bath/beach towels, suits, flip-flops and goggles with room to spare. When I showed my wife the listing she was skeptical, but she was really impressed with the bag once it arrived and we've had a chance to use it. We're going on a cruise this year so this thing will be perfect to throw in the suitcase for use on day trips and shore excursions. Solid construction. Nice zippers. Usable pockets. Large mesh side pockets with tightening bands to hold your water bottle in place. Key ring hook. Decent straps. And it all folds in on itself into a nice little pouch! I'm a big guy (6', 350 lb) and this thing actually fits me with both straps on, which is more than I can say for some other "lightweight" packs my wife has bought for this purpose. All that said, I think you would be disappointed if you are thinking to buy this for use as an everyday bag. Because of the fact that it is built to be light and collapsable, the bag has no form, shape or padding. It's sort of like having a reusable grocery bag with backpack straps so while it certainly has the capacity to hold things like a large laptop you could probably find a better bag for every day use. But for use as a highly-portable, lightweight day pack, this thing rocks!

Amazingly compact and portable
Bought this for my walks and hikes and it’s very useful for keeping a small umbrella and water bottle in together with towels and toiletries. So far it has lasted really long without any wear and tear, best purchase ever. Will bring this on my travels as well.
