Cute Needle Felted Animal Friends: Adorable Cats, Dogs and Other Pets

The instructions in the book are very precise and they have pictures to illustrate the instructions.

I rarely buy a crafting book and want to do every single project contained within, but I honestly intend to do every project in this book. They are so dang cute.The “actual size illustrations of parts” is extremely helpful, especially for beginners. As well as listing the amount of roving to use by weight, If you’re the kind of person who likes to be super precise, you’ll appreciate that. Maybe get a small digital scale if you’re not into eyeballing the roving.

It's a very useful book, love the narratives and photos

This is a nice book but it isn't easy to do. The pictures are great in it, but the instructions are probably for someone who has done this a lot.

Nice book with great pictures

This book was really wonderful - the animals were top notch. Some of the projects seemed harder to me, but I'm only a beginner/intermediate needle felter. The projects that I made came out really nice but, as I said they were a big more difficult. So I gave it 5 stars because it's not the author's fault that I was an intermediate at best. The animals were very adorable!

New to Felting, I checked out books from the library to give it a try. They didn't have this one though so I put it in my amazon WISH LIST and my sweet hubby got it for me for Christmas. It is definitely my favorite of all the books I've seen. I actually want to make ALL the projects! I'm starting with the first one, a SHIBA INU. Unlike instructions I ordered of an online store that had only two pages of instructions this book has 8 pages just for the SHIBA INU! Wow! She really tries to give you all the info you need. Thing lacking is how tight or hard to make your pieces. There are tons of free online videos to watch though so that's not that big deal. I definitely recommend this book!

This was the first book I bought and I regret it. It does NOT contain "Easy step-by-step instructions and photos show you how to make the basic shapes and components" as described, which is why I've given it a 3 star rating. The only really detailed instruction is the dog and the core shape is extremely difficult to make (it's a parallelogram) and the author provides no instructions or tips. I tried twice until I became so frustrated I was ready to give up on the craft. The other animals provide no instruction on how to make the pieces other than to make them.What this is (and I wish it was described as such) is an excellent book of templates/patterns for some cute figures. If you are good at making complex needlefelt animals, this will be a great resource for you. The book has great pictures and patterns. It provides instructions on how to put the pieces together, but not how to make them.

it’s a cute book and it comes with good instructions. following this book is like taking a class and there are images with true to size cutouts to mesure things. nicely done
