Retro light
The light works great and installation was pretty simple. The tail light provided has enough wire for the headlight also. If you don’t want to use that wire just use cheap speaker wire

Very dissappointed
I had very high hope for this product. I had these in the 1970s and the quality of those back then were excellent. This one was quite cheaply made and the fit and finish did not fit well at all. I tried it for a night then the bulb blew out. I ended up returning it.

Great light kit!
This is everything you could ask for. The brackets and everything you need is included. Installed mine in just a few minutes and it works great. High and low beam too!

Not sure, here is why
When it arrived I felt I got a good deal. It was bigger than expected. I commend the designer on a simple, inexpensive design, Unfortunately it is quite cheaply, and haphazardly made. The light and dynamo was shiny, the rest looked like a cheap dull metal, the tail light metal parts were dull and cheap looking. I polished the metal parts on the dynamo and the rear light since it would be installed on a new bike. The mountings for the light was pretty useless for my set up. I ended up making all my own mountings. The light switch is complete garbage, it sticks and is difficult to switch between high and low beam. This doesn't come with LED lights, I am not sure if they will work with the forever changing current that dynamos put out but will update this when I try. After not working right I realized a wire was loose inside the dynamo. The back plate of the dynamo is pressure fitted, so it pulls off easily. Inside it was quite dirty, there was a paper insulating washer and some very brittle wire. The soldering was also a joke. I managed to solder a new wire from the coil pack to the contact and it worked fine. The low beam is bright, the high beam, not so much, but there is more spread. It spreads across the road in front of you and lights the way a little. Not like a motorcycle or car headlamp but enough to see and, more importantly, be seen by others. It works on a motorized bicycle. At around 5mph you can see the light, at 15 it is possible to see the road ahead, a bit. What does this all mean for you? Nothing, unless you can get this much cheaper with free shipping ($15 at time of purchase) or if you want the best and don't want to do any work on it. If that is the case then you better off getting something of better quality, and I am not sure where you will find that. My pics show the polished parts with home made mount, and headlight mounted.

It was a smooth transaction
Overall it is a good light set for bikes. I would have to say the mounting brackets could’ve been better for the lights themselves. I used other brackets for the lights. The bracket for the generator was fine though.

Good looking but doesn't work
This is a beautiful looking item but there are some very basic instructions on the box and nothing else. Try as hard as I did, I just couldn't make it work. I tried every possible configuration of wires and connectors, I used my cordless drill to son the generator, I ran it on a belt sander, I only saw the back light flicker for a second. Both lights work so I'll likely wire them to a battery but the generator just never worked.
