Using this book for a bible study to dig deeper in understanding who the people are that I am reading about and where it is today on the map. Great response!

Stephen M. Miller has a very unique gift when it comes to presenting the Bible -- he makes it interesting and visual. His target and goal is to introduce people to the Scriptures and give them the full treatment of the times, culture, and meaning behind each of the books of the Bible. In this book, he has concentrated on people and places of the Bible with a Bible Dictionary from A-Z with charts and his gallery of art work. I can't tell you how much I enjoy his books, especially this one -- his latest revision of his earlier work. Let me all urge you to get this book for your reference library and take a break from your busy day and curl up with this volume. I love the Bible and Miller gives me an excuse to over indulge in God's word!

I get so tired of not being able to keep track of all the characters mentioned in the Bible. I've only used this a couple of times, but am very impressed with the simplicity; the bylines at the beginning of the biography and the information is accurate when compared with other sources. The price was great too!!

The complete guide to the Bible was outstanding. Who's Who, on the other hand, was a disappointment. The photos were reallya let down. The narrative information provided was nothing special. Very average, and nothing exclusive.It is not even in the same league as his other books. Keep looking, don't buy this one. Not worth the price.Sorry Mr. Miller, this is not your best work. I cannot recommend this book.

What a marvelous book on our beloved Bible! Stephen's developed a writing style that is perfect for me. His writing is balanced like a newspaper or news magazine and the abundant photographs made it seem like you're on the ground in the lands that gave birth to the Bible. I could read this book again and again!

Love this book. A must have for anyone studying the bible.My only comment is to provide more details on some people and provide more bible references. Meaning, the author notes the first bible reference of each person. Would love to see every bible reference point for the minor people.

It is always great to have additional references to add to any kind of study or to read on its own. I read a story to my Grandson before he goes to bed - it not only gives us this special time together, but also teaches him something new each night.
