Even better, it has three brightness levels, which you change by flicking your existing normal light switch on and off (you don't have to buy a dimmer switch). I had never heard of this kind of bulb before, but it definitely works. During daytime hours, the glass of the bulb itself has a pleasing orangey-copperish hue, which again makes it stand out very well either on its own, or perhaps in a black-rimmed metallic light shade. Never thought I would be this glowing (sorry) about a light bulb, but it really is superb.
