EBOOT Polyhedral 7-Die Dice Set for Dungeons and Dragons with Black Pouch (Transparent Black)

When I saw these online I was super excited! I obsess over dice and had never seen any like these so I ordered the black and transparent set with gold numerals for my boyfriend who thought they were beautiful online as well. We get them on time, but they're just... black? A single die has a slightly transparent corner, other than that, they're just black dice with gold lettering.We're pretty disappointed with the quality and pretty nervous about a second pair we ordered because they were back in stock. Guess we'll see...Update 6/24/2019We received the confetti transparent dice today and we give those four stars because they look crazy and colorful as expected but the dice are chipped and scuffed. Not the quality we’d for pay in stores, not the quality I expect from any new set of dice. Disappointed, overall, I’d give the seller two stars for quality and price.

I've got hundreds of dice from a number of different companies, so I'm not pulling this off the top of my head.These dice are not of good quality. They're slightly smaller than the standard. They are supposed to be clear with dark inclusions. Instead what I got were three pure black dice, two that were clear with what looked like black smudges in one corner, and a couple that actual have the black 'swirls' they're all supposed to have. The clear portions are cloudy, the flat surfaces are wavy instead of smooth, and the numbers are badly painted. Other companies (Sirius comes to mind) have similar designs that are beautifully executed. These are ugly.These are priced as full quality dice They are not. They'll be going into my 'extras' bag instead of into my dice box.

They're nice dice... I'm just disappointed with the marbling. The pictures make this look like a really nice balance of the clear and black, but the ones I got were all really dark to the point that they just look black. Except for the D12, which is mostly clear with just a little rub of black, which is nice. These look really good with more clear than black, just wish I had gotten something more balanced.

For the price, these are perfect dice to play casually. If you are looking for CNC machined beryllium dice, laser-balanced, and surfaced to the optimum frictional coefficient for tumbling across the flattest ever table to host a dice game, these probably aren't the dice for you. However, if you're looking for a set of dice, at a reasonable price, that aren't junk, look no further. The finish is nice and smooth, I can read the numbers very easily/quickly, and I get different numbers with every roll. What else do you need? Also, the clear portions are not cloudy or foggy. Where the black and clear interface, looks more like blown glass than plastic. I would order them again.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but most of these dice aren't as pictured. The d4 and d6 are transparent, the rest are so smoky that they are simply black unless you shine a very bright light behind them (see d12 on left).As pictured, the size of the dice isn't consistent with standards (simple Chessex on the right).Finally, I haven't run a careful check, but they don't seem perfectly balanced.Don't buy these for a discerning player! If you are purchasing these for someone who doesn't really care about the quality of their dice, you may as well buy a massive assortment for the same price.

I was really intrigued by these dice based on the smoky look from the pictures. They're almost completely black however and most of the ones that have transparency just have a blotch of black in one spot. The actual quality of the dice isn't terrible for the price and they're easy to read. The d8 and one of the d10s are okay, but ultimately they're just nothing like I'd hoped and very disappointing. I would definitely pass on these dice if you were thinking about it.

The dice are easy to read and appear to be well constructed. I bought two packs since I prefer to roll multiples at the same time instead of re-rolling frequently. I purchased the clear dice with black streaks inside them to look like shadows/smoke. My only complaint is that 2 of the 14 (once again, I purchased two 7-piece sets) dice have a large blob of black in them instead of being wispy throughout. I wouldn’t have minded as much had on of them not been a d20. I did a few tests on the dice to see if they rolled evenly and from what I can tell, they do randomly roll various numbers.

I was excited to get these dice for my new character in D&D, but they’ve been fairly disappointing.Firstly, they don’t look as good at the example set. Yes, they’re not going to look exactly the same as any other transparent style dice, but they’re mostly a cloudy gray with pockets of black that you can only really see when holding up to a light.Worse than this, is that after playing the first game and rolling very similar most of the 4 hour session, I did the Salt Water Balance test and discovered that my D20 isn’t balanced, and if you look through it, you can see a big clump of the black resin weighing it down.I’ve had no problems with Chessex before, but I think I’m going to try a different company from now on.
