DR Strings BKA-12 Black Beauties K3 Coated Acoustic Guitar Strings - .012-.054 Light

I'm a big fan of DR coated strings. They give a mellow phosphorus coated sound without any finger noise sliding between frets. Easy on the fingers. They're very durable, although the pick does wear off the coating where I stum; it doesn't change that mellow sound.

Not only do they look cool, these are the best sounding strings I have found in 40 years of playing. The sustain on a single chord is amazing. They are bright, but not tinsly. Really good buy.

I’ll never use any other brand of string again. Unless it’s their colorful coated ones. I did a lot of research before deciding that I wanted the sound of coated, medium strings for my acoustic guitar. I definitely was willing to pay the extra $1 for black strings 🤘but they are functionally behind looking cool. High quality, I don’t constantly break my g string now and are comfortable to play.

I love the way these strings sound on my Seagull S6 Original Slim acoustic guitar. I find a lot of new strings are too bright and it takes a day or two for them to mellow out. I think these ones sound perfect. I just wish that the coating would last longer because after about a week of playing it's starting to fall off the high strings. Doesn't seem to effect the sound but it doesn't look good and I love the way they look against the light frets and wood.

played one time and the coating was coming off by the sound hole after 20 minutes. not only does the coating come off easily if you play with any amount of aggression but i find the strings to feel abrasive under my fret hand. abrasive enough to slow my fretting movements down. the strings lack brilliance/clarity in tone. i rarely change my strings until one breaks but i will be changing these out way before i need to bc they make me not want to pick up that guitar.

I was really surprised by these strings, they sound really excellent and I’ve not had any breakage. Originally I tried them because I thought the look would be nice with the tusque XL black nut and bridge. I’d just done a re-fret with EVO gold and the whole look was real nice

Genuinely bad strings. The high E lost it's coating immediately. The 2nd string broke. I read the reviews and didn't believe they could be this bad but they were right. These should not be produced.

Garbage strings, within a few hours of playing the coating had warn off. Terrible squeaking sound when miked up. I am returning them because of the appalling quality..

Sound average, already dull, the black coating is peeling on 1st and 2nd string after playing 5 minutes, (the video is after 10 minutes strumming chords) And the worst is the feel of the coating, it grips and makes loud squeaky noises when you slide your fingers between chords Very disapointed, elixir nanoweb strings sond and feel way better even after one year of abuse.

Muy buena calidad

Although the strings sound ok I have had 2 high E strings snap on me while tuning. Now I have 2 sets of near new strings and no E string. Never had this happen before in 40 years of playing.
