Am a 42x30...is the XL gonna be to small for me?

I would say it probably would be too tight. The waistband on these pants is very small sized. When I was 143 lbs the med was right but then when I hit 155 lbs the large was best. now that I am 175 lbs the XL is right and I'm certainly just over the line between an L and an XL. I would say consider and XXL or even an XXXL for this brand.
