I am not a Medical Doctor, but still I liked the matter expressed by the Author. I think it will be useful for those whoare doing Research in Medical Sciences.

Very interesting book for reading. Dr. Alexis Carrel has covered all the aspects of a man form primitive age to modern man. He has explained why it is important the knowledge of man. How physical, mental and adaptive system works. Degenerative impacts of modern society, industry and medical science on man personality. He has discussed the possibile ways for remaking of man. As per him it is inevitable remaking of man for the development of human personality. Which will be adaptive, enduring, intelligent, religious, multitasking, concious. And, this is the requirement for great, successful and sustainable civilization.

first time ever i have read that spirituality can be blended so impeccably with modern science catteting to all domain on this Earth. Writer jotted down and touched all aspect of living unbiasely with forseen solutions. Very few have this skill in their indamable insights.

I see only highly positive reviews of this book. But I am not afraid to give it the lowest rating. It was written almost a century back (This publisher does not even give the history of the book including when it was originally published. It is an ignoble act to appropriate the content even if copy right has expired. At least give due credits and publish).The content was probably very novel at the time it was first published. Today it is platitude.

It's really a nice and inspirational work by Dr. Alexis Carrel. I suggest everyone including non-medical background students to read it first and then re-read it twice....and then you really [i am damn sure] come to the UNKNOWN of Man....Thanks Dr. Alexis Carrel for your such a work which really helps everyone's in their respective endeavors..

This is a classic masterwork that someone informed me about so I was happy to be able to obtain it. It has knowledge of us as human beings and the mystical, powerful and "supernatural" way we are made, but are not educated about. Dr. Carrel undertakes to help us begin the journey of self discovery, self knowledge and empowerment.
