My Helmix 2.0 Vortex Blender Shaker Bottle arrived this afternoon and I was anxious to give it a try. Here is my first experimental recipe: * Dairy Milk (filled to desired level) * 1/4 cup strawberry yogurt * 1 scoop strawberry Orgain Plant Based Protein Powder * 1 scoop vanilla Orgain Grass Fed Whey Powder * 1/4 cup organic raw instant oatmeal (This can also be in powdered form) * 1 tsp almond powder * 1 tsp pumpkin seed powder * 1 tsp vanilla powder * 1 TBS raw unfiltered honey After shaking the contents in the Helmix Vortex Blender Shaker for less than 10 seconds everything blended together perfectly. There were no lumps or clumps. And, the smoothie was delicious. I chose the larger bottle size because this allows for more open inner space for shaking and complete blending of the ingredients. I will continue to use this amazing Helmix Vortex Shaker whenever I need a quick pick-me-up smoothie that requires ingredients that consists of only liquids and powders. The clean up was fast and easy. However, this should be done according to the directions. If you are using ingredients that contain oils, (e.g. chia seeds, flax seeds, peanut butter) it would be helpful with clean up procedures to wash the vortex bottle right after using. This is because the dried oils will harden in the vortex creases, making the cup harder to clean. The snap lid that covers the drinking spout fits tightly so that it doesn't prop open while shaking. However, because I'm 87 years old I found it somewhat difficult to open but still doable. People who have arthritis in their hands might find this maneuver unmanageable. I found the Helmix Vortex Blender Shaker Bottle to be very sturdy and nothing leaked whatsoever. And, the design is beautiful. Overall, I consider the Helmix 2.0 Vortex Blender Shaker Bottle to be an amazing product of science technology. So, I will give this vortex shaker 5 super big stars with happy faces. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Update: I want to start off this review by telling Dody at Helimix how much I appreciate their promptness and the level of service that they provided. I contacted Helimix Support via their website and got quite possibly one of the fastest responses I have ever received from a company about anything. After sending my email in through their website at 7:07am they had responded to me (a real person not automated) by 7:23am with what information they needed to begin to process a replacement for me. I was blown away with how quickly they responded to me since it seems most companies have a standard 2 to 3 business day time frame on non-automated support. I sent in the requested information and they replied same day that they would get it shipped out that week. I can't overstate how amazed I was to contact support, get a reply and resolution all in the same day. That kind of customer service is hard to come by over email anymore. As promised they had my replacement shipped out 2 days from initial contact and I had it in my mailbox exactly 1 week after initial contact. Now that I got the amazing experience I had with their support out of the way, for the bottle itself. There was definitely an issue with my previous one because this one has been nice and watertight since receiving it. I've been using it for the past two weeks since getting it and have not had the same issue. Bottle is great at getting everything nice and mixed. I love being able to get the same if not better performance as other bottle brands without extra parts to achieve the results. They've got me hooked and I will definitely be recommending their product to others. (Original Review retained for completeness) I dunno if mine just doesn't sit right but it's not leak-proof. It's not a horrible leak but the whenever I'm shaking up anything inside it I will get splashed with little bits of liquid. There isn't any type of rubber gasket between the lid and cup so I'm not sure if this is why it leaks ever so slightly. None the less it's no fun getting sprayed by my drink when trying to mix it and it really sucks because otherwise the bottle is perfect. No clumping, mix is nice and uniform with very little to no product settled on the bottom.

Helimix, you have come thru and exceeded my expectations. I initially spoke with Ally from customer service about my issue. She escalated the issue and sent me out a brand new shaker. I received it in just a few days. The new shaker is molded of a super solid plastic. So well made!! Today, I just got off the phone with Moni the CSR in support. Talk about great follow up. Moni was amazing and so helpful. She called to make sure I was 110% pleased with my replacement shaker. I assured her I was. She explained that because of my previous feedback the shaker is now made with a much stronger plastic. I can see that it definitely is. She gave me her contact info should I have any issues. Thank you Helimix. I have told others at the gym about this amazing product. Well done!!! I am updating my review. I may have spoken too soon. After having the product for a few weeks now I am noticing a slight hairline crack in the cup itself. I didn’t notice it at first, but now the cup is starting to leak where the crack is. What was once a great product is now making for a mess when used/shaken. Very disappointing. 😕 This product is a durable hard plastic. It does not use the typical blender ball most are use to. I find they normally clump up. With this shaker’s unique geometric design the drinks come out creamy with no lumps. The best part is there are no leaks. The flip top closes very securely. Cleanup is a breeze as you just add a couple drops of dish soap and water, shake and rinse. Super easy! I will definitely be ordering it again.

Was initially a little reluctant to buy as this was a bit more expensive than the cheap (and admittedly much more flimsy) shaker cups that I usually buy. Once i got it I was so glad with I bought it and couldn't be happier with the purchase - i have used it almost every day for a year and it's held up great, works EXACTLY as advertised - mixes whey protein perfectly without the aggravating shaker balls and the plastic is MUCH thicker and tougher then the cheap shakers cups i used to buy (or get as a pack-in from bodybuilding.com which would usually crack or have the plastic lid fail after a few months). Something that definitely has to be mentioned - after a year, i finally broke it (it had already suffered being knocked around a ton but this time i finally cracked it). I was so bummed out, i reached out to their customer care to see if they might give me a price break or a discount on buying another one... Reply from their customer service was immediate (and onshore) and they very generously just sent me another one! Way more than i could have asked for :) Not a shill, not a paid reviewer, just really surprised to see a company take care of their customers so well :)

This is an update. I originally was less than pleased with the shaker bottle; if you read below you’ll find that my bottle leaked - badly. The manufacturer reached out to me and kindly offered to send a replacement item which - after two weeks of use now - has performed leak-free. The lid screws down much more smoothly and the cover on the drinking spout clicks firmly closed with little effort (neither of these actions were smooth in the earlier, flawed item). As I said, to date I have been leak-free. The bottles - old and new - both admirably perform for mixing whey powder and other additives into my drinks, and I am pleased to have one that is leakproof now. I still don’t see the kind of “100%” mixing that is hinted at in the product advertisement, but it is still much better than I have ever achieved using a “wire ball” shaker. Usually the unmixed portion is just a few bits clinging to the inside of the lid or bottle (I’d call it “99% mixing”). Earlier review: As a mixing bottle, this actually does do a pretty decent job - not 100% mixing of powders, but pretty good overall, and better than any of the "wire ball" shakers I have used in the past. The downside is the incessant leaking; when shaken, it leaks around the threads and around the snap-spout. If they could have designed the lid better to prevent leaks, it would really be a great product. As it is, well, just don't shake up your protein drinks in a carpeted area, or near furniture, or around electronics...

I started using a protein shake/meal replacement product and tried one of the shakers I already had. What a mess! It leaked all over and there were massive lumps in the shake. Yuck! So I spent the $$ on this vortex shaker. I tried it as soon as it came but shook it wrong so there were, yet again, lumps. I shook it as I would normally shake a bottle or shaker. That's not how this works! I realized from my lab experience that vortexers work vertically and, sure enough, when I actually READ the instructions (I know, what a concept!), it says to shake vertically! When shaken correctly, this shaker is amazing! It works like that proverbial charm and the resulting shake is smooth, no lumps at all. (It also does not leak.) I can drink it through a straw if I want to and the straw doesn't clog. It's well worth the bit of extra money to get the product that works!

i was a skeptic. i've been through many other shaker bottles with all sorts of agitators inside from wire balls to spiky knobs, propeller blades, etc. all have left a good amount of ingredients unmixed in the end leaving me disappointed, money wasted, and a globby mess to clean up. i thought how could this one really be different without anything inside to help mix things up thoroughly? boy was i wrong. i've mixed the driest of powders with water, milk, juice, tea. shake hard for less than a minute, it's gone, all gone. i thought it was a trick or i just got lucky the first time, then the second, third, forth. others in the family tried it too. occasionally, rarely, there's a little tiny bit of powder somehow trapped in a corner groove by itself. but no chunks, none of those little wet balls that you touch and they burst open with dry powder inside, no huge globs in the crevices, it really does an amazing job of mixing everything up. i guess the physics are right, and i'm a skeptic no more. do make sure you put your liquid in first and powder in 'on top' of everything else. it seems to work best if you hold it vertical and shake up and down as opposed to sideways or at an angle. the 28 oz is huge, has very handy measurement markings on the sides and feels quite solid. the lid screws on tightly. be sure to push the spigot cover down until you hear it snap into place (made the mistake once of not fully securing it and ended up with a mess around the room on the first shake). very durable, a drop isn't going to send the lid flying off in some direction and your ingredients all over the floor. clean up is easy enough by hand, a drop of dish soap, few ounces of hot water, lid on, shake a bit, lid off, rinse everything and onto the drying rack. very happy with this shaker bottle, the rest are already donated away. going to pick up a few more for gifts. can easily recommend this to anyone who wants to thoroughly mix up a drink.

I love this product. I've been hitting the gym for nearly two decades. I've used all kinds of water bottles. From Walmart ones to top of the line and this is my favorite. I am a month away from two years with this bottle and it is still as if it was brand new. The plastic still looks clean, there is no smell, and the cap and lid aren't leaking. If you have a bottle you use for protein then you know what I'm talking about. As for the mixer, I use Muscle Tech Whey protein. It is a little clumpier than other types so I make sure to fill my bottle a third to halfway with ice to help break it up as it mixes, but even without ice it still mixes pretty well. Better that any bottle with a blender ball. And I don't know about anyone else, but I hated using those. Cleaning the ball/whisk was always a pain. I do run this one through the dish washer after I use protein, mainly because I have a bad habit of not cleaning it immediately after use. If I am only drinking water then I just give it a quick rinse then once or twice a week I shake it with a very small drop of dish soap. The only possible negative I can give is that sometimes when mixing the protein will stick in the small crevices in the lid if the liquid hit the lid before the dry powder. This does suck as the indentions are so small it is hard to clean out, but this doesn't happen often. I am about to buy a second one and I see that they have a new lid design now. I wonder if they have fixed that. Everyone has a different preference on mixing bottles I assume since there are a gazillion styles and materials, but this one, if you are looking for this style, is perfect. UPDATE: Just got my new bottle and those smart people fixed the cap issue mentioned above. Also the um...clip hole I guess is what it is called has been improved and is laying flat which is more convenient for me. So now I have zero critiques. Thanks for making an amazing product.

I’m not blown away by this product. Sometimes it mixes very well, sometimes there are clumps left. The opening at the top is nice and wide. I think this is a very over hyped product

Bought 2 of them for my son and his friend they were delighted with them and said they were the best ones on the market for thier protein shakes

Design and its working is really cool, practical. Not much effort to mix the whey protein powder. Does the job very well and no need of a mixer ball inside. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Sinceramente me esperaba algo mejor de este Shaker agitara muy bien las cosas pero se sale su contenido por mucho que aprietes el tapón, termina salpicando los alrededores y la propia botella y no importa si pones el dedo en al tapón, voy a tener que dejar de usarlo, una decepción
