Minwax Oil-Based Wipe-On Polyurethane, 1 Pint, Satin

My favorite wood sealer. I use this on almost every project I have that requires sealing. It’s super easy to use and apply. I like that I control the application with my hands. The finish is durable and the sheen is perfect. I prefer a satin finish which isn’t flat nor glossy, just the right amount of both. This is an oil based product but since you apply with a lint free cloth there really isn’t any cleanup. Just get rid of the cloth when finished.

Worked perfectly! My wood dresser was getting water ring marks, so I refinished with this and it looks perfect and cups don't mark the surface anymore. It was easy to use, I'm a super beginner and used a saturated shop towel.

This is great on many levels but does have limits. I had custom vanity built for bathroom and the builder did not properly seal (will leave that story out) I was told this would be easy way to add protection given it is in bath. I have used spar urethane for outdoor projects which is more effort and requires a bit more skill to apply correctly. Back to this. Pros- can literally be wiped on with rag, dries quickly, can be sanded between coats and applied again. No smell, easy to clean up and a good looking clear finish. All and all for most wood sealing projects it's great a other routes. The issue for me is it's lack of any real water proofing. Yes the water beads Abit but left alone it will leave a cloud mark under the coating which requires alot to remove. I expected etter protection but that is my bad. This is great for most wood sealing projects that won't be getting splashed much or if you will wipe when it does. A little goes long way so great value as well. Will add slight Amber color as well

Best ever, and easiest to apply Polyurethane. Have been using it many years, since it first became available. Will never use another brush.

Good product! Very easy to use and gives a smooth professional finish with no streaks. If you refinish furniture I highly recommend this.

Easy to use, works great.

I have used the product for years and it never fails. It’s great for places that are smaller than the big jobs where a sprayer or spray can would take to much prep.

Good product

I love this product, so easy to use and a fantastic finish on my desk top. It says two coats but three gives a better finish. Only constructive comment would be high cost of postage as this comes from Poland and I couldn’t find it anywhere in the UK Only on amazon.co.uk

Älskar hur finishen blev på mitt köksbord! Slipade upp till 220, sen två lager med bets och tillsist två lager av Minwax. Det ser så mycket bättre ut nu än vad fabrik-finishen gjorde, känns mycket mer tålig med!

Did the job as expected

Very easy and quick to apply. As each coat is very thin, several coats are required and any rubbing down between coats needs to be done with very fine sandpaper.
