A very cool yet practical innovation
I am very particular about my wallet. I tend to carry my wallet on my back pocket of jeans so it have to fit just so. Otherwise, it will be uncomfortable and pain in the you know what (no pun intended). After shopping around, both on line and in stores, I didn't find anything that stands out, unique that I can identify with yet practical. I know that's a tall order but accessories such as wallet, commuter bag, jackets are things that you use on a daily basis and you want it to be practical, comfortable yet reflects your identity. The M1 Maverick wallet fits all the criteria I am looking for. I like the tactical thin and minimalist look and feel to it. Since it is designed a little different from a conventional wallet, it takes a bit getting used to but once you get over that hurdle, it is an amazing wallet. I don't like carrying a lot of cash with me, probably at most, 2 twenty dollar bills at any given time and with 4 credit cards and driver's license, this wallet is perfect for me. Since it is a minimalist wallet, it forces me to not overload my wallet with junk. Now that I know about Dango, I plan to get other models that I can switch around when I feel like it, depending on my activities. I might get one for weekend hiking trip such as the multi tool wallet which I saw on their website. Based on my research, they are a fairly new company on the wallet scene but certainly make a great impression on me. I have high hopes that they will continue to innovate and surprise me with what else they can do with a wallet. Certainly it deserves a five star ratings from my perspective as I browsed through the local Chrome, Timbuk2, Tumi and the more upscale Coach and Tiffany's men wallet...nothing stands out. But to be fair, tactical wallets are not everyone's cup of tea but I do really like the style, quality and design of this simple wallet. Great job, Dango!

Amazing!!!!
Well I guess after having the wallet for 2 years I could review it. It’s a 10/10 for me Forced me to carry a little less junk Thing is tough I haven’t had even an issue with the leather being weird. It is metal so that doesn’t move when you sit down on it but you can very easily carry this in a front pocket if your doing something where it hurts to be in the back

Just short of perfect.
Been looking at minimalist wallets for some time. Happened on the Dango after seeing a coworker with one. Likes: The size. Smaller than my old bifold wallet but with similar card capacity. Finish. The leather work is good and the finish on the metal is smooth and even. Card capacity. I carry a ton of cards due to work. I've offloaded all my affinity cards to the StoCard app. This wallet swallowed everything I had with room for a few more. Dislikes. Lack of a cash slot. There's a silicone band for holding cash. It's quite grippy and holds at least 10 bills securely. But it's a royal PITA to get the bills under the band. And you usually get more than one bill when trying to pull out any bill beneath the top one. I REALLY wish there was a money clip that could lock on to the leather. That would make it a 5⭐ wallet.

This thing is sturdy and awesome!!
Ok, first the cons: It's a little heavier than your traditional front pocket wallet. It also holds only 6 cards. My former front pocket wallet held 8 so I had to make a choice on what I was going to leave out of my wallet. That's really about it. Pros: this thing looks and feels awesome. It is well made and your cards and ID fit perfectly. The fit on the ID side is a little tight at first but I am certain that it will loosen up a little bit eventually. The multitool is pretty cool as well and if you think you might not use it, think again. How many times have you needed a screwdriver just for a minute, or to tighten a rope to secure something? This tool does all that and more. Just don't forget to take it out of your wallet when you fly. I'm sure TSA wouldn't be happy with it! The price tag is worth it because it should be the last wallet you ever have to buy.

Better Than Ridge Wallet IMO
I have carried a Ridge wallet (aluminum) for 2.5 years and liked it. That wallet was my transition from old school leather bifold wallets and is a nice "card holder" but not great at much else. It has held up well but you'll need to keep its' screws tightened (I recommend blue Loctite) and the elastic band replaced every 12-18 months. I went looking for my next thing and found this Dango metal and leather folding wallet. It is larger in length and width than the Ridge, however it stays much flatter when fully loaded with cards and cash and for me, this makes it more comfortable for pocket carry. I like the lanyard connection points on all 4 corners for times when you really want to secure the wallet to your belt or belt loop. This wallet provides a couple of different card storage areas so you can prioritize quick access to certain cards while more deeply storing away lesser used cards. The silicone band makes an excellent cash clip and I like that cash is under the leather flap when closed. This wallet looks incredible with the mix of metal and leather. Best minimal wallet that really doesn't force you to be that minimal. Highly recommend.

Quality not in line with price point
Was excited to get this wallet as it checked a lot of boxes for me. I wanted something I could attach my car key to but would be fairly minimalistic while still durable. My initial impression was disappointment. The packaging is a plain metal box with no frills, which is fine but would have liked to see something a bit nicer at this price point. The product itself feels solid in the metal, but I was underwhelmed with the quality of the leather. Mine had a plasticy sheen to it that did not seem like it would hold up well. I purchased the bifold version, and the leather is pliable enough that it doesn’t stay closed. By design the flap flops around. I get that there are cards near this, but this thing needed a magnet closure or other solution. Perhaps higher quality leather would hold it’s shape better. The final straw was the dimensions and that is my fault for not doing enough homework. However, there is a lot of wasted space in the design of this thing. The leather portion itself is far larger than required for a standard credit card. This means that the thing is actually BIGGER than a standard bifold wallet, both in thickness and dimensions. I did enjoy the functionality of the metal enclosure for cards. If you want to do just the metal no food version and you don’t mind a bulky wallet I could see this working. Overall, this truly did not work for me and I returned. I get that wallets are a personal thing and everyone has different taste. But to me the quality did not match the price point and the design leaves a lot to be desired.

Best wallet ever.
So, I was hesitant to buy this wallet. Now, I'm glad I did. This is hands down the best wallet I've ever had. Pros -high quality materials and craftsmanship. The overall look of the wallet is amazing. Feels like it can last a lifetime. -The multi-tool is a thing of beauty. Light and thin enough to be easy concealed for EDC. All functions work like a dream. Use it once and you'll never want to put it down. -Security with this wallet is a non thought. I never worry about my cards falling out. The front slide pocket can hang up when storing cards with raised lettering. Don't fret, just use it for a few days to break it in and it should be fine. Cons-The security strap's multi tool can be used as a Flat/Phillips head screwdriver. Works great for light work, however, when trying to tighten or loosen stubborn screws the tool can bend. That's the only con. Overall, a Badass high quality product. Its worth the price.

What can I say...I love it.
If your looking for a rugged and paramilitary style wallet, search no more. The only problem I honesty had was; which one do I pick? So many good models! I purchased the model with the multi tool and love every single feature. The front fits an ID card perfectly (technically you can stretch it to hold a total of three in the front but I choose not too). This is followed by the inside comfortably holding 4 cards. You could carry more inside the protected part of the wallet but you would need to give up the tool inside and that is not something I want to do. Finally ending with the rubber band you can secure money (and honestly anything else). Every feature appears to be well made and built to take a beating. If you are a person that enjoys minimal and thin, as i did, I urge you to carefully judge the models. I personally found that the pros in these platforms, surpassed my cons against its size.
