F.e.s.s Genuine Signature Series Long Churchwarden Tobacco Pipe ~ Pick Your Style (Sherlock 14")

Placed a churchwarden pipe in the stand and it kept slipping out. We ended putting a small dark circular felt tab in the cupped base for some gripping and now it works perfectly for our needs.

I bought this pipe for my Son. He likes to try different things out and after going through a period of Cigar smoking, he decided he'd like to give a pipe a try. He of course wanted something unique. This pipe fits that description. Since I wasn't sure just how long, if at all, he would actually smoke a pipe, I decided an inexpensive one would serve. The pipe is everything stated in it's description. The only problem I can see coming in time from it, is that where the stem joins the bowl, it will eventually get so loose, that it won't smoke any more. But the stem is after all, 14 inches long, so that plays a part in it too. But for the price! It's a bargain. A good first time pipe smoker could do far worse. It arrive unharmed and as promised. Really smooth and original design but after not much usage, it won't screw on right anymore,I'm going to try to use a washer to fix the problem, but still-It hasn't been the easiest or most convenient piece to use or clean, and usually results in a clogging problem after a few short uses.

Good pipe for smoking, especially if a shorter pipe leaves you with a burnt tongue or mouth. One must be sure to clean it regularly and after some time of solid smoking (in my case, using it once or twice a month for about 6-8 months) the coating on the outside begins to wrinkle and come off. It does not effect the integrity of the pipe, just the look. Worth it for a first churchwarden though so that you know what you're getting into.

The pipe came fast. I had one little chip in the finish on the stem which was ok. It smoked well, Also it is nice it has a smaller bowl which if you want to do a quick one it is good for that. Other than that not much else to say that made it stand out of my other pipes.

Beautiful pipe, smokes well, kind of poor quality though, the plastic bit that attaches the bowl and the neck broke on the third time I used it, and I wasn't being particularly rough. You get what you pay for I suppose.

At this price, I had expected it to be cheaply made. However, I was disappointed that the '14" natural' stem was in fact printed metal. The bowl and stem are very different colors upon inspection.The bowl itself does appear to be wood and looks nice on its own, but in combination with the stem is not nice enough to use.

Love this pipe. I feel like a wizard with it. Draws well and looks great. Only reason I put 4 stars and not 5 was the mouthpiece is a little looser then I like.
