Nelson Rigg CL-1060-R Black Commuter Lite Motorcycle Tail Bag

This is a legitimately fantastic piece of luggage. Very durable, high quality materials, sturdy zipper than can withstand the expansion. This bag can fill a lot, and I trust it with my camera equipment. The cinching is very solid and you can get the bag ridiculously snug and tight against the seat. Rain bag so far has mostly done its job. However I had to put the bag on with the seat already wet and just the rain cover over the top/sides while trying to keep the bottom as dry as possible, but the bottom got a little damp. However through heavy rain the inside contents at the top stayed essentially dry. I will be using the crap out of this bag. Great value, great bag

This is a very nice tail bag. I wanted something small but functional that wouldn't take away from the sleep lines of my BMW M 1000 XR. This fits the outline of the rear seat almost perfectly. Almost looks like it was from BMW for this bike. Install took about 10 minutes. I followed the video instructions here and it was pretty quick and easy. I definitely recommend. I'll update for durability if it has any issues but so far five stars for sure!

OMG this thing rocks and keeps my stuff dry! I have an E Ride pro SS 3.0 and I put the Nelson bag on the battery cover at the front kinda but not blocking the usb ports and I can charge things inside of it while riding and carry groceries and an air pump. It has height adjustment to put taller things inside like bottles or a helmet. Only thing I would change is the straps because they are a pain in the butt to put together and tighten but other than that, it’s strong, waterproof, and has Velcro inside to keep things from sliding and even has a loop thing in the zipper to add a lock or a zip tie to make it harder to steal the stuff inside plus it’s small while able to carry a decent amount of stuff. Overall This thing is so cute and I love it! Good job Nelson!

Great product, straps fit under my seat (and there is a lot of stuff under there). Sides keep their shape when empty. This was a test run after putting it on and I took some twisty roads, It stayed where I put it. Pictures below show 1984 Kawasaki 750 Turbo, just below the turbines of Norris Dam, TVA's first dam in east Tennessee.

I installed this tail bag on my 2026 CBR650R. It installs easily and is secure. The zipper extension is really nice and this bag fully extended will hold a 12 pack. The only drawback is it not being waterproof, but I knew that when buying the item, but it does comes with a cover of needed.

Great looking on an MT09 and the mounting straps worked well for me. It will stay mounted with the seat so as long as your seat stays attached to the bike, you’re good.

I got the smallest (lite) version which fits my 13' street triple proportionally perfect but it was no easy task to install because all the straps underneath obstructed my seat from latching when just following the directions given. After a good bit of trial and error and thinking creatively I found what I believe to be the only way to install it on my model bike so if you have a gen 1-3 street triple I took a picture of the strap configuration underneath the seat which I hope helps. It looks good and seems to be so far of very high quality. I used the size scale pictures of each model bag and measured my seat before purchasing the smallest version which i highly recommend doing yourself. I say this because I initially wanted the med (sport) version but I'm now convinced it would've been too big. The lite version isn't what I'd call roomy but that was the only option I really had with my bike so I don't hold that against the manufacturer. It will still be very handy and allow me to not have to lug my back pack everywhere I go which is worth it for me. All in all I'm happy with this purchase and easily would've given 5 stars if it wasn't such a pain to install or if they had a better strap assortment that doesn't have to be all bunched up under the seat. Hopefully this review helps anyone deciding wether or not to go this route.

Nelson Rigg makes some of the highest quality motorcycle gear, and will stand behind it with their customer service. Absolutely nothing is perfect, but I cannot find much to fault with Nelson Rigg products. The tail bag I purchased was for a 2009 Buell xb9sx, which has the least amount of room under the rear section of the seat I have ever seen on any bike, but this bag works fine, very secure and I believe it looks like it was made for the bike. Reminder, this is a tail bag, not a suit case, it will hold necessities, which is why I purchased it. It does expand, and comes with a rain cover plus straps to convert it to a backpack. Certain motorcycles can be very limited to what you can use in the way of luggage, again, this suits my needs to a "T".

This tail bag fits perfectly on my Z650. I love it.

Excellent build quality, the best I’ve found. Size is perfect for all the usual bits and more for a day trip. It stays in place perfectly strapped to my rear seat pad, and doesn’t drum or rattle at all. The expansion facility is useful too. For moderate security it can be attached by cable to the bike, and the access zips can be padlocked together using one of those tiny luggage padlocks. Pricey but, always a pleasure to use, and can of course be transferred from one bike to another so it’s a long term keeper. I bought it from the UK and shipping was fine.

Very pleased with the tail bag, big enough to carry the essential things you need while out riding, it looks good on the bike aswell.
