Helped solve the problem of how to hang solar lights from my aluminum patio cover. I did end up getting the clear tubing from Home Depot to make them thicker. But they are nice and long, giving some security that stuff will not blow down in a wind.

When we got a patio cover, I went looking for ways to hang curtains or a movie screen up without drilling into the cover. I saw these online, and they were out of stock. I looked at other options, but these seemed still the best, non-permanent option. I am glad I waited. They are strong, heavy (I don't want lightweight), but not too heavy for the cover. They are perfect. There are quite a few online videos of their use too. Check the company's website. Their shopping cart leads you right back to Amazon.

they work well with my patio cover and hold my wife's windchimes, but over 25 dollars for 6 hangars I don't think I'll need anymore.

The one I have used so far for a wind chime on my duralume patio cover seems to work fine, but it seems as if they want to slide a little, depending on the space used. Feels like a little slippery and in need of the slightest "tack" to stay reliably in place with anything that isn't on the weightier side (like a wind chime). I may spray them with something that gives a little "tooth" to the vertical section, as I wanted to somehow secure the vertical around the horizontal as it gave the distinct impression it wanted to slide. Otherwise, seem to work ok, given the restrictions of the structure and the elemental nature of the "device." Truly, if you had a little pencil rod and a few tools, you could make your own, but hey! Who has time for that?

This product did not work for us. We wanted to install curtains on our aluminum patio without drilling/adding any nails, etc to the patio. The alumahangers were very easy to install. After easily installing the alumahangers, attaching curtain rod and curtains-it looked beautiful. Happily thinking-just what we wanted for our patio! We began getting ready to install the rest of the panels.Then, a SLIGHT breeze came, and everything came crashing down! Multiple trips to the hardware store to try and remedy the problem were unsuccessful. We ended up returning our entire order of over $600 of curtains, rods and the hangers. The return did take a few weeks, but as soon as I contacted Amazon, they resolved the return.

I used these on my Duralum patio cover. I did have to buy the vinyl tubing (1/4" inside, 3/8" outside) to make them fit in the slats snugly. I picked up the tubing at Home Depot. I also used a little WD40 to get the tubing to slide onto the hanger easier.Now that they've been modified for my Duralum product they fit snugly and well. If anything goes wrong, I will update.
