Everyday Diesel Treatment EDT, 1 Gallon

I use this Hot Shot’s Secret Everyday Diesel Treatment for my diesel truck, and it has been a great product to keep on hand. The 1-gallon size is a good value because it treats a lot of fuel and makes it easy to use regularly. This 1-gallon jug is designed for the long haul, treating up to 1,280 gallons of fuel, which makes it incredibly cost-effective for daily drivers and fleet owners alike. The primary draw here is the 7-point cetane boost, which noticeably smooths out rough idles and improves cold starts. Beyond performance, it serves as a critical insurance policy against modern "dry" Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) by adding essential lubricity to the fuel pump and injectors. It also features a demulsifier to help separate water from the fuel, preventing corrosion before it starts. While the 1-gallon bottle is bulky and requires a smaller dispenser for easy pouring at the pump, the peace of mind and improved MPG make it a staple for maintaining a healthy engine.

I have been using Hot Shot's Secret in every tank of fuel I've run, in every diesel I've owned. I have over 3 million cumulative miles of running EDT. Using my stock 2021 Ram 3500 HO with 35k miles, I tested it against untreated fuel and Archoil AR6500. EDT managed a 1.5mpg increase over untreated fuel, and Archoil lost 1mpg. Time between regens has consistently been at 24hrs with EDT, which is when my truck will actively regen regardless of soot load. Untreated fuel dropped to 11-12hrs between regens, and Archoil dropped to 4-6hrs. Firepunk also recently dyno tested EDT, and saw a ~20hp improvement, which indicates that it does actually improve combustion. EDT costs about ¢6/gal to run, and more than pays for itself in fuel economy improvement. The added lubricity, better burn, and lower gel point are just added bonuses. This is the best performing additive on the market, out of the few that aren't snake oil

If you simply follow the directions, then this is an excellent product! If you intentionally use too much thinking that more product has to be better, well, then you deserve what you get and very likely you'll end up killing your expensive fuel injectors or the equally expensive fuel pump as a result. Follow the directions for use exactly and measure out the correct amount of product. This is not going to repair years/decades of neglect and pre-existing internal fuel system corrosion/damage/wear issues, which should go without saying, but I've read the low-rated reviews, which are few. Got the 32oz bottle to try, as better value compared to the smaller 16oz bottle/squeeze bottle. The only downside is you really need to follow the directions for use and measure out this type of fuel additive to avoid using too much of it per tank, which is significantly more difficult with the larger bottle size. As others have noted the caps on the larger bottles don't seal very well, and product is not something you want to keep inside your vehicle (or anywhere enclosed really) unless you bag it and ensure it cannot fall over. Failure to follow the product directions (just pouring it in freely) can result in damage to the very expensive injectors and fuel pump, etc., which is also true of other branded diesel fuel additives as well. Follow the directions and you will very quickly feel the difference in throttle response compared to pump diesel. I use the top-tier diesel fuel and supplement with this product. I get much lower running noise, better fuel economy, less DPF regenerations, and significantly better throttle response. The driving 'fun factor' alone is worth the price of this product, but I actually buy it to protect my aging HPFP and original injectors in my '10 Audi Q7 TDI...those bits are kinda pricey to replace. I used Liqui Moly products prior, and those are great too, but more expensive, so now I'm on Hotshot's EDT, and my TDI loves it. :)

Would have given this 5 stars, however, if you plan on packing this in your truck, keep it straight up!!! If it tips at all, you will loose a lot of product, and it will stink. Great product, but they need to have a better seal on it!!!

I've been using EDT for a couple years in my two diesels. Small, effective improvement in mileage, but I like that it helps keep the fuel system clean. Read and watched quite a few reviews of various additives and felt this was the best bang for the buck, especially buying it in bulk a refilling the small bottles in that we keep in the vehicles.

I’ve been using this Everyday Diesel Treatment in my F-250 for a while now, and the results are legit. The most impressive part is the improved fuel economy—I’m definitely getting more miles per gallon than before. ​The engine also sounds smoother and seems to have better throttle response. I love that this one-gallon jug treats so much fuel, making it a great value for the price. If you want to keep your fuel system clean and save some money at the pump, this is a must-have. Will definitely keep buying!

Used this because I had an error code on my 2020 GMC Denali diesel. The dealer tried telling me it was a $1200 issue but when I used this on my own, it cleared out the error code.

Excelente producto, la única pega , es que el dosificador es en onzas/ galón. Siendo inútil en europa , que usamos el mililitros/ litros. Y el vendedor no se entera de la conversión. De todos modos os dejo la conversión 5 mililitros del aditivo / 10 litros de diésel.

Alot of people recommended this and so far I believe it has made a slight difference in overall performance and lubrication quality (really hard to tell with fuel additives)

My cold start gets much better and good increase in mileage It will cover it's price by the fuel efficiency only Plus the cleaning effect on the injectors and lubrication of the diesel pump
