Excellent with an closed box from 75 to 300 hz

They start making unhappy noises when I push em too hard. .but considering price, they good for low power. My 5-channel amp pushes way too much for these 8’s. I would not recommend these to a friend. Maybe the next step up, of same brand. But not these.

Using this in a bass practice amp. Punchier output than the cheap stock driver and handles the 20 watts fine in the sealed cabinet. Not sure how it’s supposed to handle 450 watts, as the cone excursion is pretty dramatic with 20 watts. I realize car audio watts are bogus compared to pro audio, but I do think this needs a stiffer cone if you’re looking to really crank it up.

Now. First of all I love prv and these speakers sound excellent, HOWEVER! I'm not sure what happened with the packaging but the speakers ended up in the box without any sort of packaging to secure the speaker from flopping around in the box and inevitably ended up with damage on both speakers. One obvious quite noticeable. These where for a show vehicle and where supposed to be the last piece of the puzzle. It's also a memorial build so I was quite disheartened by the lack of care that went into packaging. I did contact Amazon regarding this issue and was told I would receive an email from seller to rectify this issue. Even a partial refund would have been acceptable as the speakers still play just fine but I don't want to run a damaged speaker in a memorial build I have spent months building for car shows and competitions. If I wanted to buy these speakers I would search for a different seller as I feel this was just carelessly packaged. Nothing against prv by any means, they're a very reputable manufacturer and all of the alto 6.5s i have gotten from a different seller have shown up in perfect shape and product protective cardboard inside the box to prevent damage during shipping. I gave these 3 stars strictly because of the careless shipping. I give the speakers however a 5 out of 5 for sound quality and low end sound reproduction between 70 and 200hz. Great midbass.

Mi Hermano la instaló en mi bocina portátil Ridgeway QS828, la cual cuenta con ecualizador y tweeter. En definitiva se mejoró de una manera muy significativa la calidad del sonido, al ampliar y/o distribuir más eficientemente en el bafle, los tonos agudos, los medios, y los graves, realzando éstos últimos.

Buen sonido por el precio exelente producto👌
