A Bit Large, but Great Looking Gear!
As other reviewers have said, these do run a little bit on the large side. My son is a big twelve year old, and the only thing that fits him comfortably are the shin guards. I had to order a small helmet and chest protector. He'll grow into them within two or three years, I suppose, and the nice thing is that these are in his school colors, so if he makes the team we should be good all the way through high school if these things are durable. They look good and protect well.

Very good gear that will fit 12-15 yr olds
This is a great set of catchers gear, for a great price. it is very protective and comes with a groin protector and a shoulder cap. The knee guards fit my 12yr old very well with adjustment and have triple layer kneecap protection with removable memory foam liner, the knee guards are 14" inches. The chest protector is very high quality and durable, with velcro to add the attachments. The chest protector is 15" inches. The helmet is very nice and has a removable chin pad, it is big but can be adjusted. It fits hat sizes 7-7 and 7 8ths.

Only buy this set if your kid has a HUGE head!
I purchased this set for the 13 year old son as he entered Babe Ruth League ball. He's an average size and build (5'3" +/- and 100 lbs.)Overall I'm not too impressed with this set. The build quality is pretty good. That is to say everything appears well made and durable, and in the two months of DAILY baseball since this purchase, the PIECES HE WEARS are holding up quite well. The only area where construction and materials have been sub par is in the chin pad within the mask. That was attached to the inside of the mask with a velcro patch that in turn utilized a not very durable glue. After one or two practices, that vital piece of padding fell right out of the catchers mask! Its a flaw that was easily enough corrected with a generous amount of a more durable adhesive, but the, arguably, most crucial pad of the entire set should have been engineered to be far more durable. In a way its a good thing he doesn't wear that mask...Which brings me to my real problem(s) with this set. It's labeled and sold as INTERMEDIATE, ostensibly for players just out of Little League but not yet in High School. In other words, my son exactly. Yet the leg guards are the only part of the set that actually fit him like they were designed to do so. If I purchased the leg guards alone, I'd give them 5 stars, no doubt about it. They're great. They're just the right size, well articulated, easy on and off, durable, light and provide excellent protection. I wish I could say the same about the chest pad and helmet. The chest guard, if purchased alone would get 3 stars. Its actually a solid piece of gear with a single MAJOR flaw. Like the leg guards, its well sized, light, flexible, durable and offers excellent protection. However, the "main" vertical strap that dictates how the entire piece fits is WAY too long and adjustable at only one point... And not nearly adjustable enough for a proper fit. Without modification and tightened up as far as it would go, the pads rode far too low on my son. The collar exposed his upper chest and collar bones while the bottom drooped well below his crotch. After several minutes of fiddling, I came up with a workable solution of tightening the buckle as much as possible then taking the surplus strap and looping it back up through the buckle as well, producing a good fit (see photos). Thus far, this fix has proven durable enough with no further modifications, never slipping out during a game, practice or double header. While I'm glad it worked out, more thought should have gone into this part of the design. I'm not even certain that the chest guard even is a true "Intermediate" size and not simply the adult size guard thrown into this set...Which the helmet surely is. Yes, the helmet included in this intermediate set is straight up just an adult size catcher's mask. It is WAY too big for my son and he NEVER wears it, opting instead to always borrow another player's helmet. It shifts side to side when he quickly turns his head and the chin extends so low that he can't tilt his head down; two motions every catcher makes almost constantly. Unlike the chest guard, there is seemingly no DIY fix for this flaw. Needless to say, its kind of a bummer to buy your kid what you think is a decent set of gear only to watch one third of it go unused in favor of somebody else's stuff. You might even say it defeats the purpose of buying the set! Its a cool looking mask offering as unobstructed a view as you're gonna get from behind a catcher's mask and it fits ME perfectly. Too bad I don't play Babe Ruth Baseball. So three stars mostly for the superb leg guards and, in the end, very good chest guard and the hope that the rest of the set still fits him when he grows into the helmet. Overall though, I'd try to find the leg guards unbundled or look into a different set.

Let's Play ball!
Our daughter loves this catcher's gear set; it is comfortable to wear while being protective, It does everything she wants it to. The only negative thing is that the helmet is a little stiff at first, but we expect that it should soften and form to her head more over time.

Great gear
Fits great my son is 5’1 105 pounds and gives a little room for growth. The gear is solid and takes the beating it gets from being used by little league kids.

helmet was just a little big but he can wear his hat underneath and helps fit better, but chest protector was huge
Bought for my 12 year old - shin guards fit well, helmet was just a little big but he can wear his hat underneath and helps fit better, but chest protector was huge! He probably won't fit the chest piece for another 2-3 years when it's adjusted to the smallest fit. He's just wearing his old chest piece for now...

Works great for my 5 foot 8in daughter in 12u
Works great for my 5 foot 8in daughter in 12u. She is not a tiny girl and these legs were perfect. The helmet is a bit large but you can tighten it in. Chest guard is a bit short but is the correct width so it works.

Great Starter Set, helmet too big
Great basic set, good for a starting set. However the helmet is too big and my son is 13 years old 5 foot 7, 140 pounds so I thought maybe this helmet would fit him but he still has to wear youth helmet.
