**Q: For the retailer : What exactly is the 'food safe laquer' coating made from please?**
A: There isn't a visible coating - just a slight sheen compared to some more matt chopping blocks.

**Q: What kind of glue to make the board?**
A: I also want to know this. Alot of bamboo boards are layered and glued using a formaldehyde based resin which is obviously not great and as been linked to cancer etc. If they have a label saying non toxic this generally means the toxic resin hasn't been used but when there is no mention at all it doesn't normally mean it automatically has

**Q: what oil is used on it?**
A: I don’t think any is used on it.  They’re very good, thick and sturdy.

**Q: Are these boards pre-oiled?**
A: I didn't notice any oiling on them so I presume not. I washed them before use but this was just a matter of common sense.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality set, much better than plastic or previous wooden ones

I switched to these bamboo boards to avoid microplastics, and overall, I’m really satisfied with the quality. The three different sizes are super handy for separating veg, meat, and fruit, and they aren't too heavy to move around. They’re way better than a MasterChef board I bought previously, which was horrible and full of splinters. It comes with optional stick-on feet, though you have to attach them yourself and I’m not entirely sure how long they'll last. My only real complaint is that they can be a bit tricky to clean. Food bits/residue tend to cling to the surface rather than washing off smoothly, so it does require a fair bit of scrubbing. Still a solid choice.
