You may experience a problem installing device driver for Windows 8 with this device. You must first disable the device driver signature in Windows for unsigned drivers, then re-install the driver then it will work with Windows 8.0 / 8.1.

Overall, considering the price paid it's not too bad. It lacks of many features, but the basic functionality is there.The user interface (PC) is quite poor, but does it job.

Fantastic device (Like something out of Steins;Gate). Uses Nyquist–Shannon sampling methodology to facilitate objectification of virtually any imaginable wave form. It accepts Tektronix .csv files, which you can synthesize using Tektronix ARB Express which in turn can accept equations as input. Rather than enter tl;dr mode I'd suggest downloading the user manual from the Hantek website for more information.Win7 (or 8 if you insist) installation note: initially the device will not be installed properly so goto Control Panel > Devices and Printers > and see 'unspecified Hantek1025G'. Right click on icon, select 'Properties', goto Hardware > Properties > Driver then install driver from 'Driver' folder on the regular CD that you copied from the mini-CD that you received from Hantek and burned via your sister's old laptop that still has the clip for accessing mini-CDs. Then install the control/simulation software from the same CD; right-click and run as administrator.

bit of a hassle to use honestly, i like my hantek scope much better.

Our lab needed to generate a signal to test hardware and this unit is just what we needed. Great price and cool computer interface.

Pretty good little generator. The modulation functions work a little weird, though. But I can't complain for the price.
