No Nicks
Although I've seen countless TV ads for the Gillette Venus razor, I've never tried one until now. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is not a disposable razor, but is actually a re-usable handle with replaceable blades. So, right out of the box, we have a plus for the environment.While I've always been skeptical about the superiority of a multi-blade system, the five close-set blades on this razor gave me a very neat and smooth shave. Plus, the unique oval shape of the head seems designed to minimize nicks and cuts over those tricky areas (like ankle and shin bones). Honestly, I've never escaped getting at least a couple of nicks when using a brand new razor, but not with the Venus. And while I'm no fan of those slimy sensitivity strips on all new razors these days, I can't help but think they helped with my smooth and pain-free results.This is a great shaver from a trusted brand. Oh, and not for anything, but the package I received was written nearly entirely in some Asian language (I suspect either Chinese or Japanese but possibly Korean). Not a big deal, just curious.

Expensive but they works well and leave less bumps
Venus razors have always been great to sue and reliable as a brand. This sensitive skin version is no different. It is a five blade razor with sensitive skin strips. I do not have overly sensitive skin, but I find that if I use this type of razor, or shaving cream, then I get less bumps when shaving. This is true of this razor, and Venus razors shave really close. In other words, I get a close shave and less bumpy skin. I even like the way they smell. My only gripe with these razors, and many other brands, is their cost compared to how long they last. The strips on the razor are gone within two weeks, and then they dull soon there after. So, you do have to replace your razor about once a month. That is very expensive when you get about three months work for 10-15 dollars. That is my only issue. The handle is also easy to grip and shaving with this Venus is easy and pleasurable.

my favorite razors for many years
I have been using variations of the Venus razor since they were first introduced many years ago. They just work without shredding my legs. This iteration seems to be the same as I have been using except the packaging is full of Chinese writing (at least I think it is Chinese). I am not sure why. But, the razor works just great on this American.

Perfect Shave
Gillette’s Venus is my wife's go-to razor. She rarely gets knicks on her skin, and always has a very close, smooth shave.This version works the same as all others she’s had in the past. The blade design and pivot head definitely make this the perfect shaver to move around curves on the body. The only thing she’s ever complained about is the handle has grooves where moisture gets trapped and mold forms easily over time. She hangs the razor on a special hook we’ve rigged up in our bathroom but we can’t seem to avoid it. But the quality of the razor is worth this one flaw. Great product.

Works Great
I've been using Gillet razors for at least two decades (yea, yea, I'm showing my age). I tend to stick with the men's Mach 3. I figured I'd try this out & aside from the packaging, I am pleasantly surprised by the performance. The razor head is huge. I thought there was no way I'd be able to use it properly around the bikini & arm pit areas. Much to my amazement, I am able to get into all of those areas comfortably & cleanly. All of the extra moisturizing added to the large head make it a nice smooth shave.This comes with one razor & two blades. The packaging is an utter nightmare. Trying to get everything out of the plastic clam-shell like packaging was awful. I used a box cutter & still had problems. Plus you really have to be careful handling this type of plastic. I know people who needed stitches from getting wicked cuts from these things. Plus, mine arrived in Chinese. I'm guessing this is because I got mine through Amazon's Vine program. I cannot imagine other folks in the USA would be sold something that was clearly marketed to folks in China.Anyway, other than the horrendous packaging, these are great razors that live up to my expectations of Gillet.

Works Great - Foreign Language Package
I have been using Gillette Venus razors for years. There are 5 blades on each. These are working great and work just like the others in the past. The packaging is either in Japanese or Chinese, I can't read any of it so cannot say much else about the product. Rating 5 stars = Love It.
