Great unit, fantastic value.
First time purchase of a welding helmet. I am an online and self taught hobbyist. I wanted an auto darkening, adjustable, reasonably priced unit. This helmet delivers that. Comfortable, not heavy, optics performed flawlessly with a great viewing area that I experienced. The tightening knobs on the sides of the helmet (to keep it flipped up) aren't the strongest in build, but do the job if you crank them down to the point you fear breaking them. Is it "pro" grade? I'd guess that the plastic shroud, headband and tightening knobs are not quite that robust, but the optics seem very much so. Great range of adjustment (I used a 100 watt clear glass incandescent bulb to simulate an arc light for initial testing) with adequate delay and darkness ranges. I've worn "pro" hard hats for quite some time so it's a fair comparison as far as suspension and adjustments. For the price? Fantastic value and I've got around 5 hours of welding (actual arc in use) and have had zero issues with it.

Night and Day difference!
I am a beginner welder. I have been welding occasionally for a few years but not enough to get very good. Part of the reason I avoided welding, when possible, was because I had a difficult time getting good welds because I couldn't see the bead very well with my previous auto darkening helmet. I adjusted the sensitivity and darkness, but I just couldn't see well enough. It was difficult to tell if I was going too fast or too slow or if I was even staying along the joint. I wasn't going to spend hundreds of dollars on a Lincoln or Miller if it was my own lack of skill so... I thought I would give the YESWELDER a chance since it wasn't expensive and at the very least I'd have a backup helmet. I've only had it for a couple of days but...BOY AM I GLAD I BOUGHT THIS!!! It's like night and day!!! (pun intended). I can actually see my weld bead as I weld. Not only that, I can see the whole area around the weld which was completely black with my other helmet. I can see exactly where my joint is and the weld puddle as I move along. My welds went from a 2 out of 10 to a 6 out of 10 just because of this helmet. I still have a way to go but that's just my lack of skill. If you are like me and got frustrated with welding because you couldn't see properly (too bright or too dark). GIVE THIS A TRY! I will update this review with pictures and/or video when I can.

YESWELDER Large View Auto Darkening Welding Helmet
I bought this helmet because I wanted to learn how to weld, and it has been fantastic for a beginner. It has made the learning curve much less intimidating and has definitely saved my eyes while I practice my beads. The Highlights Massive Viewing Area: The "Large View" screen is no joke. Being able to see more of my workpiece and my surroundings makes a huge difference when you’re still trying to figure out your positioning. True Color Clarity: The 1/1/1/1 optical clarity is excellent. Instead of that old-school lime green tint, you get a much more natural view of the weld puddle. It really helps you see exactly what’s happening with the metal. Fast & Reliable: With 4 arc sensors, the auto-darkening is incredibly fast and consistent. I’ve used it for TIG and MIG, and it hasn't failed to darken once. Beginner Friendly: The external controls for switching between Weld, Cut, and Grind modes are intuitive. It’s great not having to take the helmet off just to clean up a weld with a grinder. Minor Gripes Headgear Adjustability: While the pivot-style headgear is comfortable once you get it right, it can be a little finicky to lock into the perfect position. If you don't get the tension just right, it can occasionally slip forward when you nod your head to drop the mask. Build Material: It’s very lightweight (which is great for your neck), but the plastic shell feels a little "thin" compared to high-end professional hoods. The Verdict For anyone just starting their welding journey, this YESWELDER hood is a home run. It provides professional-level visibility at a price that won't break the bank. It’s been a vital part of my kit as I learn, and I’d highly recommend it to any hobbyist or student welder.

At first I thought it didn't work.
At first I thought it didn't work. I tested it by looking at the sun. It didn't shade. After messing with the settings it finally started to do something. But what it did was very confusing, when I blocked the sun with my hand the lens went dark and unblocked the sun it didn't shade, like you would think. It seemed to work opposite what it should, and it was consistent. I thought it was junk. I even started a return but figured I should test it welding. Sure enough, it worked as expected, and continued to. I works great, for now. So if yours seems to not work looking at the sun, be sure to test it welding. I just hope it lasts. It is quite flimsy when taking the lens out, its hard to hang on to. Basically a less than optimal design. If the lens easily came out the front in order to change the lenses, that would be better. It is comfortable and the shading can be adjusted too dark, which is good. Once I got the shading set right I could see the puddle very well. The battery is a bit difficult to get out too, just a flimsy plastic design. It would be nice if when you pushed on the battery it would pop out. But you have to dig and pull with your finger nails on this. Another thing that is less than optimal is the tension adjustments on the side to set the window where you like it. I had to tighten these down pretty hard to make it not fall lower than I like, and doing so it felt like they were about to break off or strip. Not sure how long that will last. So, over all, once set and don't change it much and be gentle how you hand it, I think its good. Probably about $25 over priced though, but what isn't these days.

Good shade, good darkening time.
It does a good job. Gets quite dark, but I was able to dial the shade back which was cool. It also has a good reaction time. I'm not blinded for a half second when I strike my arc. Best helmet I've bought so far.

Bigger fast screen with tons of adjustments
This is a quality find at a very reasonable price. I love the very fast bigger screen that will shut itself off when you set it down for 20 minutes. It has the usual electrical adjustments but what is really nice are the four different adjustments to the position of the helmet. I was able to adjust the helmet support so I could have goggles on over my bifocals all of the time I am welding. I can flip it up and grind without getting debris in my eyes. It is light enough, I can wear it for hours and just move through my projects with out taking it off and on.

Great optics!
I don't know about durability or longevity.... However, the quality of the lens electronics and LCD are fabulous. The hood material is very thin and flexible but it doesn't need to be thicker to do its job and weight is the enemy for something hanging off your face. It's very light and comfortable. The weight is distributed well over the harness. I flipped it up and actually forgot I had it on for a few minutes. But, the lens shading and image is great. I've been wearing a much older Hobart auto lens for ~15 years(?) At the first arc, I honestly panicked a bit. To me it seemed like the lens didn't darken! At least for a few seconds until I realized. Cool! The arc is blue, the puddle is red, the back of my glove is mustard yellow, and I can see the edge of the plate to keep the weld running straight. Maybe all of them are like this now, but I'm astounded by the clarity. Before I could see a bright blob (the arc), a smaller less bright blob (the puddle), and nothing at all outside half an inch of the light from the arc. Turning it down only overwhelmed with glare and turning it up just made the bright blobs dimmer. It was welding by feel really. I'm a few hours of use in now, and it's great. Hopefully it continues to work and nothing breaks. The best $45 I've spent since I started welding. Being able to see makes welding easy.

It is a quality Helmet that works perfectly,, and the price won"tkkill your budget.
It arrived the next day after placing the order. The helmet build seems solid with plenty of room for my respirator. It took a couple of minutes reading the instructions, but I figured out the settings. Once I started to run a bead it was evident that this helmet was a game changer. The field of view is amazing, but when you see the Tru Color and the clarity of the view! Wow it is something to behold. The control knobs are on the outside of the helmet, and very easy to adjust on the fly. the test button is on the inside which is nice that it is cause once you test, it is out of the way. The knobs that lock the helmet up really need to be tight, the sweet spot that holds it up and still lets you flip it down can be elusive. BUT with the view through the lens, I find I put it down and go to work. There is no need to do a lot of flipping. Its is a quality Helmet that works perfectly, the price is right, the build quality is evident, and the spare screen protectors are a plus. Get one!

Best bang for your buck.
I needed to update/improve my auto darkening helmet. The selections on Amazon , are frankly overwhelming. But I narrowed it down to this yeswelder, & it has really exceeded my expectations. The overall clarity & features put my old helmet to shame. But the absolute best feature of this unit is having all the controls on the outside of the helmet. Many competitors would make one have to pull the helmet off & fiddle with small buttons, touchpads & slide switches to make adjustmets or just switch to grind mode. Try that with welding gloves on. It's so much easier & convenient to have all the controls readily available for easy manipulation.

Wow helmet. Bad strap
Edit: Strap broke on the 2nd day of using. Very flimsy. Don't know where to get a spare. Wondering how I've been welding with any other helmet until I got this. The width, the clarity, the response, the comfort, the price. Just perfect.

She’s good one!
The fit is really cozy it’s got a very nice head band thingy. Lots of settings extra lenses and a great bag to store it in between uses. I spent the same money at a store and got 1/4 of the quality out of that helmet. This is a great purchase for the price fit form and function is all a 10/10. Being cheap the dials and toggle switch feel cheap but I used the helmet for four hours now even let a 3 year old play with it for ten mins and so far nothing broke. Still works and feels damn good on the head. I like it. I’m happy I bought it. Even fits my breather mask bulky thing just fine under it.
