Barbie Collector Basics Model #05 - Collection #2

I bought this doll to make a custom barbie based on a Japanese urban legend. The vengeful spirit is supposed to be beautiful which is why I chose this particular doll. When I received it in the mail, it exceeded my expectations. At first I wasn't sure if she could move her legs, but she can at her hips, and the joints aren't so stiff that you can't move them, but stiff enough to keep her pose. As many other reviews have said, her hair is soft, and silky smooth. It's the softest Barbie hair I've ever touched! I'd say it's her best feature. One thing I would like to point out to customers who are interested in removing her from the box is that it is no simple task. Mostly because of how her hair is packaged in place. Obviously this doll was made for collectors who would display her in the box. I'd recommend being very gentle and patient while freeing her hair if you decide to remove her from the box. Her clothing does not come off easily, and I personally decided to let her keep them for my custom project since a coat would cover them up. Don't expect to take her shoe shopping either, unless you want to damage the shoes she comes with to remove them. But that's not too big of a deal, because those are really cute shoes! Great doll for collectors, and was perfect for my project!

Super lovely, an absolute angel! Hair is really soft and easy to manage. I agree with another reviewer who mentioned the legs being made from lesser quality plastic, and this is true. Because of this reason she can be a little floppy on the included stand. Aside from this minor annoyance, nonetheless she is still beautiful. As long as the quality of the plastic is not a major issue for you, this lovely doll is a great addition for the collection.

I love the diversity of the basics collection. the only negative is that the barbie's aren't jointed. Mattel should consider jointing all barbies so customers can pose as they wish.

Adult collector's opinion - loved the doll! Very pleased! I like how her legs are almost ball-jointed making for a more posable doll. Very beautiful face and soft, silky hair. This is not a child's toy.

I purchased this doll because I want diversity in my collection. Overall this doll is made up of cheap material. She can't stand on her own stand or any other. Her hair is synthetic which doesn't come off pretty no matter how you wash, condition and style. She appears to be a dollar store doll. I'm curious if I purchase her from somewhere different would I get a better doll. Who knows! I caught her on sale and I swear if the next one I purchase for more money is identical to the previous one. I just won't have many Asian Barbie's.

But the legs seem to be made of a lesser quality plastic. It is different from the others one I got. Seller was great and all, but the product was not great.

11700円で この箱の破損状態はあり得ないです！本来なら返品です！これだけ箱がつぶれていたら記入するか、8000円くらい中身の価値しかありません！書いてあったかのかもしれませんが新品とかいてあるのが信じられません、どういう店なんでしょうね、、 中身が気に入ったので買いますが、今後はこんなことがないようにしてもらいたいですね、、( ノД`)…( ；∀；)
