Clinical Aromatherapy for the Professional Therapist
Great book. Provides a great clinical application. It provides a list of medical studies, an extensive reading list, and basic properties of essential oils, so that one can understand the components of essential oils, including diagrams of the molecular structures, etc. In Chapter 15, i.e., more than ten different mental health disorders are studied, backed with research, scientific studies, double-blind studies, etc. Even Bipolor Disorder. Not only does this include all relevant studies but in Chapter 10, Pain and Inflammation, not only are essential oils used in treatment of pain, but the authors also address varied pain components, such as the physiology of pain, the etiology of pain, approaches to pain, varied narcotic and opioid drugs, NSAIDs, Steroid drugs, etc. There is a whole chapter called Essential Oil Toxicity and Contraindications. And this is not the kind of information I have found in many books on Essential Oils. There is enough information in this book for the skilled therapist to really understand all they need to to prepare for a career in this industry.

Great information loaded with evidence based research and practicality
This book is excellent. I am a pediatric occupational therapist and have been very interested in utilizing complementary approaches with my clients but never was able to because I just felt there was not enough research out there to back up it. But when I came across this book, I was thrilled. Dr Buckle provides study after study of the effectiveness and uses of essential oils as well as contraindications. This book serves as a bridge between conventional and complementary medicine and rehabilitation and I am thankful for it.

An excellent resource, especially for peer reviewed research
An excellent resource, especially for peer reviewed research. PRICY though. I would love to have this on Kindle as well, but there is no book reciprocation for this title. I am hoping the author will allow that at some point so I don't have to purchase the Kindle version which is also pricy.

So happy to get this
So happy to get this, already using it in clinic practice! Very practical and wonderful to have evidence base to back up my already deep appreciation for essential oils. I have used aromatherapy in childbirth education for many years, and certainly have used it with my family. Now in clinic practice Thank you Dr Buckle! Virginia Smith, DNP, FNP-C

Best Relevant Collection of Essential Oils Research
By far the best, most relevant collection of essential oils research on the market today. Dr. Buckle does a fantastic job communicating her message in a very clear and concise manner and provides several charts and tools that helps summarize the research even more. Thank you, Dr. Buckle, for this masterful literature review!

Excellent Read!!!
One of the few references you can find in the United States on the clinical uses of essential oils. This is an excellent read and well worth the cost. Jane Buckle has many years of experience in the use of aromatics in clinical application and she presents her knowledge in a readable and succinct format in this book.

Great book for students
Another book I am glad I bought. It has lots of information crammed into it. The paper is lovely and glossy and the information contained inside is thorough. I like how detailed it is referenced and that it is all peer reviewed meaning you can be confident of the information contained therein. It is reassuring for a student of Aromatherapy to be able to back up the practice with scientific facts and information validating the therapy. Excellent book.
